    Not really. United chose Moyes and got him. Mourinho was not offered the job at United (even though some fans may have wanted him). some fans may be unhappy but he is the manager and he'll be supported. End of.

    Apparently so. Beggars belief it really does. Seriously your squad has the best selection of attacking midfielders in the league and like I said probably the best coach in world football. You are a sure bet to be at least up there at the very end of the season. Yet some of you guys have an incredible desire to argue a moot point with no evidence at all. Talk about an inferiority complex.

    Again 80,000 polled on a Sun newspaper poll. So firstly how do we know all those who voted where Utd fans and secondly what does it matter? I mean do you think the Glazers really care about a poll in the Sun?

    Put it this way. You own a business. Your top performing manager has left and you want I fill the gap. You are going to accept one resume and one only, regardless of how many other possibly better options there may be and hire him straight of the bat? Do me a flavour...

    Not really proof as there is no reason to believe that these were all United fans...How many clubs are there in this country and most fans reading that paper will not be United fans <ok>

    Or another way. We're you hire by your company without them looking at others, weighing up the decisions before taking you on board? I doubt very much that you were the one and only choice considered. United are not unique in their ability to hire staff that are brilliant at the first time if asking. If they were every player they would have ever bought would have been world player of the year.

    Okay for arguments sake, lets say Jose (the best candidate) was approached and rejected it, by your logic you then approach lets say Carlo. But we know however he was never approached and never offered the job. So why then did Carlo lie if your logic is correct?

    I am sure the club would have considered their options. Including the option called Mourinho.

    The club would have done an option appraisal (as it is called in business/management parlance) as you say and even a SWOT analysis (Strengths weakness Opportunities Threats) on him and decided that in the final analysis Mourinho was not for them.

    That is not to say that Mourinho was first choice. In the final analysis so they went for Moyes. <ok>

    stupidity or trying to make us feel bad about Moyes not being our first choice. No skin off my nose if he wasn't. But Mourinho I am glad he isn't our manager :)
