If it was proven that the dogs did attack and kill the 3 sheep wouldn't they have been put down anyway?

    Not too sure...

Farmers often shoot dogs that stray onto their land & might worry their beasts, but this is different, the twat killed the dogs in a fit of temper, with the animals tied up, therefore of no risk to anyone & with no evidence that they were the cause of the issue with his sheep anyway.

    He deserved a prison sentence.

  8. Could have been worse, it could have been a couple of badgers <whistle>

But seriously, I couldn't agree more. He killed two helpless animals because he was pissed off. Not only were they two helpless animals but they were also someones pets/family!

For ****s sake, it was a couple of dogs, that's all.

I live on a sheep farm and dogs are treated the same as foxes and other pests, if they are running round lose they are culled. Its the farmers living, versus some dozy cow who lost her dogs.

If the dogs had got out and attacked a kid, would you all feel sorry for the little doggies then.

  10. Fair point but we don't even know if these dogs attacked the animals!

To be fair, they're hardly going to get CSI Yorkshire down to investigate. He was acting under a reasonable assumption.

  12. But its not for him to decide. The dogs were tied up and therefore not only secured but also harmless. If he thought they were the culprits he should have reported it. Killing harmless dogs is unjustifiable in any mans world!

Did anyone read the comments section after the article -

"Why is this article taking sides with Simon Tidwell ??? . . . are you aware that he is a convicted criminal who served jail time for benefits fraud and has also been convicted for driving under the influence ??? He isn't even permitted to own a firearm due to his criminal record, hence why he used a stun gun on these 2 dogs..."

Who gives a ****. After all it's only 2 dogs and 2 lambs - different if it was 2 people.

On the news when an animal has died it's... 'Awwwww'. When a person dies... 'It's their own feckin fault stupid idiot'

That's the point I'm making. There's some sick people who rate their pets more than they do their fellow human beings. They can't even recognise just how sick that is!

Bit over the top OP. German shephers and huskies are dangerous toward animals if they're trained. They're used for pigging quite often, so attacking a sheep would be easy.

Some would argue that an animals life is just as precious as a human one & it's only man's place at the head of the food chain that makes him feel that his life is of greater worth......

If you were in a mexican standoff with a bear would you let it attack and maul you because you felt it's life was worth more than yours?
