Liverpool have according to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws enquired Ajax about Alderweireld. The Belgian defender has already turned down Spartak Moscow and Norwich. Ajax wants has set the asking price at 7.5 million euro's, Atletico Madrid is also in bids and made a 4 million offer last week which got shredded instantly by Technical Director Marc Overmars.

 

He's certainly not the dominant type we need but, ignoring that, is he good enough...?

look.... we've heard these rumours since may. there is not one name on a list that i've not heard all summer. Llori is hardly a work of genius by someone n the inside and neither is alderweirld. the club needs to move very quickly in the next couple of days and frankly a match ought not to delay anything.

i have highlighted way way back eriksen for 8mil. he's just about at that now for spurs so lets just see who bids as well (not us btw) there's nobody bar yarmalenko coming up thats racially from left field as costa or willian were and they turned out to be simply inquiries at best.

Think he will bring goals to the team but after hearing some scout reports, general consensus is that he lacks intelligence and often runs into dead ends.

Definitely. I just feel that for £19m, we could get someone who is a bit more polished.

But he does have a very good foundation on which to build up on. Tall, good build, fast, goals, assists etc.
