Kane to go out on loan again at the end of the window, IMO. or possibly even sold. I just cannot see Harry Kane ever making it at Spurs. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I've seen nothing to suggest he's got potential like Tom Carroll has. If Ade leaves, which looks extremely likely, surely another striker has to come in?! we need to be looking at a young talent in europe. a Benteke, Bony, Lukaku type, which other clubs have snapped up in recent years.
De Telegraaf reports that Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement on the transfer fee for Eriksen, 12 million euros. When they qualify for the CL this season Ajax receives another 500.000 euro. Eriksen and the club are now working out a contract. Ajax will wait with announcing the deal till Tottenham reports it on their website.
De Telegraaf also reports that Eriksen's agent is in London and that when they are nearly done Eriksen will take the plane to London. Estimated wages will be around 2.7 million euros a year, triple the amount he is on now at Ajax.
It's The Telegraph basically, right winged, big sports section and it has the highest circulation in The Netherlands. The sport's section is accurate to some extend. But they are very reliable when it comes to the deal announcing bit.
You guys make me sick On a positive note at least you haven't done it the sugar daddy way - so fair play and good luck
Not European but I've been reading up about a young Chilean striker - Nicholas Castillo. Seems to be impressing out there. Whether we'd be interested/ get a work permit is a different matter though.
Dutch media are so much more on the ball than ours it's a joke. Gomes, Vertonghen and Chadli were all reported well before our press got a sniff. I'd believe what they have to say, looks good on Christian Eriksen, we're finally getting our wish mate! Now just another 2 year wait for the other Dane they have - Fischer
You know what? I just did something I think I've only done once before - went onto another team's board. Just happened to wonder what the goons were saying about transfers - both ours and theirs. Helpfully enough they have a thread just like this one. I clicked on it and it was the most apt thing you could imagine! http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/180918-Summer-Transfer-Window-Rumours/page169 On that one page (most recent) there is not ONE mention of players I don't think. Just a bunch of them bickering and trying to get one up on one another by mentioning IQs, where they're from/not from, talk of people having double accounts...And a side-talk about whether visitors to London go to the Emirates just for the hell of it. It was weird - I was reading this and then thought "Hang on - what am I doing here? Why am I reading this ****?" And then realised that I was reading the gooner transfer gossip column. It was absolutely perfect.
although i have previously written kane off, i now think he might surprise a few people. there is a hint of lineker about his game.
The Spurs site likes a safety-first policy of waiting til a player has got a few games under his belt for us til they officially announce signings so don't hold your breath. I think I'm still waiting for confirmation on the OS that the paperwork's gone through for Vertonghen to sign.
I think that being **** and ****ting yourself are two different things. (Just kidding - I do not think Harry Kane is ****, alright?).
does this mean sigg or lennon out ? if these deals go through then we have 7 other players covering the wide positions and AM.
Thing is that their thread is 169 pages long! Ours is only 180! What have they been talking about?! Has it just been bickering and moaning the whole time? Guess so. And loads of it. Like I said - it's just perfect in every way.
Few whispers of Sig being on his way. Me and Roo have mentioned that we reckon Lennon could be a surprise exit. With it being a world cup year, he'll need first team football if he wants to get back into the England squad and seeing as we've (pretty much) signed Lamela plus Townsend's new found form, may be hard for him to oust his way into our team. Would be a shame to see him go, been a great pro and player.
We've got room for two more as it stands - three when Bale goes. If, as expected, these three come in and Bale goes we will have the full 25 and down to the minimum 8 homegrowns. So if we DO sell Lennon or Sigg they'll have to be replaced by a homegrown or have an empty squad spot. I think. This is all extrapolated from the front page of the "Squad for 2013/14" thread.
