Listen you! This is a cracking forum. Have a look at some of the others, there`s no bugger in. You love this place, you`ve said that already. The time & effort you`ve put in to keep us up to date with the transfer window happenings is tremendous, and much appreciated, this has also been said already. If there are 3 threads on the same subject they are equally likely to go off in 3 different directions. They might, eventually get back on topic, there again, they might not. There`s some great banter on here, agreements, disagreements, arguments, slanging matches and all out war. It`s all part of it. It`s tremendous. You`re not being bollicked for trying to keep the thing tidy. All the lads are saying (it seems to me) is curb the enthusiasm a bit. Let the threads ride, see where they lead. All part of the fun mate, all part of the fun. That`s why we`re on here.

For some reason the young new Mod has taken offence at my asking him to stop merging threads. I have nothing against him at all, no axe to grind, I was making imho a very reasonable request that the thread merging stopped. Threads were becoming unreadable and you couldn't go back to a thread you had an interest in. These are my original comments on the matter. And if PDC managed to find anything in there as a PERSONAL attack I apologise. Even if there had been it doesn't warrant the childish name calling mind! As this thread has proved the MAJORITY of members don't want this and no matter PDC's claim that it looks better it makes the forum nonsense and unreadable. And no I don't want him to stand down, (As far as I have seen he is doing a fine job moderating.) I want him to wind his ****ing neck in and accept he and the scum are the only ones who want threads merged. Others have said the same much more eloquently than me on this thread. I was shocked at the abuse hurled my way by him as although I can be brusque in my language on here. (It's a ****ing footy forum for Christ sakes.) I couldn't think what the hell I had said that got his ire up! This had me totally baffled. I read till about 4 am back through my posts and couldn't for the life of me understand what he was on about. Then it clicked. <lightbulb> I hadn't been on for awhile and he left a PM for me like the nice lad he is asking where I was. This was my reply to him................ "Limbering up for start of the season. Still been browsing now and then. I fecking hate the constant new player ****. We should be going for this one or that one, running into page after page of drivel and the player was never even going to come here. Congrats on the mod bit mind. " I assume he took this as a personal attack, in no way was it meant that way. It was just a facts Mam and only the facts. FFS I expected most of the threads to be started by Poolie not him. I have previously took the piss out of Poolie about him getting withdrawal symptoms when the window closes. Anyone who knows me knows I avoid the multiple new player threads like the plague. Apart from the Huddlestone one. I had to go on and say I thought he was ****. Oh and the Downing one ditto! The rest of the names I will see in thread titles I will never see or hear of again. Do I want these threads stopped of course I don't this is a footy forum and lots of people enjoy them. I don't and made the mistake of mentioning it. hahahaha **** me this dragged on, this whining little girl will now move on. STOP THE ****ING MERGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah gotcha! So when you throw your toys out of the pram when someone has the temerity to question your moderation it's just banter? Cool nice to know and makes me feel so special that although numerous other members had said they didn't like the thread merging. You saved the banter just for me.
Some good points raised by the old farts too about the missing posters Danny, Dick Malone lots of others etc etc. Maybe they do like me for periods and still come on and read the threads even if not posting. Hopefully they will pop back to say hello they are missed. Used to have some canny craic. As for the name changes, it does my head in. Half the time not sure if I'm getting the right poster and how to take their post. You just get used to who is who and BOOM its all change again. Actually told Comm in a PM I was pleased he went back to his original name as it's easier to keep up with who is who. Bruceys Beak doesn't count as he is such a gobshite be hard to mistake him for anybody else.
