To be fair its an absolute joke that we still have a make shift left-back playing there, surely we are the only team without a left-back in the Premier League.
Think we're going to have to accept it's Colback for the forseeable future. He's pretty solid defensively, he just doesn't seem to offer anything going forward. It's been said many times that the modern game favours the attacking full back
I cant and wont accept it mate, if that window closes at 11pm on the 2nd and we havnt got a natural lb through the door i'll be spitting teeth
Well we wanted Rose, but Spuds would not sell and we have tried for a couple of others but for what ever reason we have not landed anyone..the club is trying but tbh I reckon the priority is for a good CM player. Are you saying we should only concentrate on a LB not a CM. The answer of course is both, but for me a CM is a must, we do not possess and player who is good in that position atm whereas Jack is OK at LB.
100% this. The market is being held up by the big deals. Bale the biggie. Willian has just moved to Chelsea so that might kick start some movement across Europe. Might be a good time to offer Sess to Anzhi Makhachkala . I'm sure once Bale is sold and the big clubs start making their moves, then they'll start selling fringe players and stimulate the whole market. I'm sure we've got irons in loads of fires. Just waiting for dickhead Levy to kick off the frenzy.
No not at all mate, as you say both are priorities and i think a creative cm probably just edges the lb position but we are lead to believe de fanti and co have been on the job since feb/march then crikey surely these two positions will have been scouted to death? Do i think the window will close without said positions filled? Nope! As bri said the window will erupt once bale goes imho a frenzy will ensue

De Ceglie has115 Serie A games under his belt as well as 16 European competition games.
I have a feeling he's going to turn us down. Think I'm just pessimistic after seeing our pursuits of Rose, Mendy, Cissokho and Orban go askew.
Doubt it. I haven't seen anything to suggest that he wants the move. Only that he wants to stay and fight for his spot
