More confident now seeing the turnout, that mob will buckle under pressure. Its not at 100% obv, but this shaktar mob are in for a shock.
Evening guys, anyone else get the impression that this is another game where the keeper plays a blinder?
What a goal from Commons, could be 3 or 4 already but for their keeper. Odds on to get it done now I would say, just need to watch we dont do anything stupid at the back, this mob will get even dirtier in the second half, players need to keep calm and try not to react.
our manager in his wisdom decided to play the first leg with a centre back pairing who are both new to the club and have never played a competitive match together, but did play one pre-season friendly together in which they managed to ship 6 goals if memory serves me right. He also thought we should play without a recognised striker in the team and a number of players in positions that we have often seen them be quite ineffective in. Apart from that I`m as mystified as you.
****ing yes!!! My PC battery ran out after the third goal and I've been watching the rest on twitter. They are dancing in the streets of the Loire tonight!!
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsss Now ****ing sign a striker. A penalty box striker. The amount of chances we created and to only get 3 is poor. Everytime one of our strikers went down the line crossed it in, nae **** was there.
I predicted we would batter this mob. I said 4-0 but let's not quibble. Look forward to giving Shakter a big beaming sarcastic smile tomorrow morning when I see them at the Raddison.
Brilliant stuff, honestly didnt think Celtic would do it, Makes it all the more enjoyable. Sheep killin barstewards.
Does anyone else think Shakter actually played better tonight than they did last week? Still rotten but they had a few better chances tonight.
Great that we got through this one and into the champs league proper, but , in a rev. I.M Jolly style, I don't think we should forget we were the width of a cross-bar away from being out and the rest of the season looking like something of a damp squib in comparison. Sure, the boards lack of spending might have some bearing on that, but we should have had more than enough already to have that match long done and dusted rather than relying on a stoppage time goal for a narrow three-two aggregate win. Comic book tactics and team selection in the first leg almost done us in and the euphoria of a late, late goal shouldn't disguise that. So, in summary. Lennon must go...
Fab game. Hard to pick out a failure in our side. Lenny not happy with the board post match. Said we got no help. We have agreed terms with Pukki. Doesn't seem to have a prolific scoring record, but will wait to see how he does.
