When I snapped my achilles tendon last year I used bin bags that the council supply that come with a tie at the top. As my plaster only went to the knee it created a nice ridge to sit the piece of string on, neatly tied with a bow. It worked quite well, although it did need the 50 litre size rather than the 25 litre ones to get the required length.
Thanks Dan, I've seen my podiatrist today and she says it's quite bad but repairable! Mind you, she could be lying, she comes from Ipswich!
. When i was a kid my parish priest told me I was going to hell because of my choice of football team -bit ironic really as we all know that god hates Luton.
Everyone hates Luton, even all the Polish who work at my place are leaving Luton . Only Asian's are welcome to live in Luton from what they say . And they have the cheek to say that British are racist .
So! There's a turn up for the books! I wish you very good luck in round three! Whatever the result, I hope we'll still be friends! OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! Night all Night H
Morning all from an overcast but warm West West London...morning Woody, looks like we will have a couple of weeks of discussion on the up and coming cup tie. Will be good for us to play against a team that has been doing well in The Prem and interesting to see what sides both teams put out for the game... Thanks in adavnce for the frothy AK.
Hi w_y we put out a fairly strong team against Bury, I think that was mainly about bringing a bfew of them up to match fitness! We have a recent history of being knocked out of cups by teams from a lower league so you will probably suffer at our hands because you are too good! I hope that makes sense! Whatever the result, I won't bear any grudges! A point of interest, we have suffered at the hands of some very poor refereeing decisions and so have Watford, it will be interesting to see how that plays out!
take it bloody easy rep another reason not to wear sandals were you wearing socks and a knotted hankie
Morning all, weather as normal, sunny and warm, although night time temperatures are not so high now. Interesting comments from Troy Deeney last night. He will be glad when the transfer window is closed and he like most other players do not like it. He is fed up with the rumours linking him with all sorts of clubs, in fact he was amused to see that he was in Scotland yesterday instead of at the training ground. His priority is to play well for Watford, but did suggest that if the club wished to sell him he would not have a lot of say in the matter. He also did not think that should we progress in the cup he should be asked to play. He was very supportive of the players on the pitch last night and wanted them to play well in matches so that when called upon they would be ready to step into the first team. He believes that it will take at least eight Championship games for the team to really gel. So far some of the new players are still learning to play the GFZ way. He was very greatful to WFC and the fans for helping him come back from his troubles and said that you can hear everything being shouted when on the pitch. He did like the way that the crowds are growing and becoming noisier. Clearly he wants to earn as much as possible over the next ten years to safeguard his future and is starting a media course as part of that.
I think Mrs S had to buy her's when she did her achilles, as Dave says very handy bit of kit. We got it online I think, can check if you want?
Haha, a Troy Deeney podcast consisting of the sleep cam pics, away day tales, fashion advice and a named and shamed section would be a fantastic addition to his repertoire.
Not to mention the various odd background noises of his whilst helping with the commentary - such as this one: https://audioboo.fm/boos/1572215-cristian-battocchio-goal-v-bournemouth
one of the very best - used to love the Saturday morning sports programme on radio 4. The man had one of the best voices in broadcasting. Sad year for losing commentators - first CMJ and now Cliff.
