http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/226652-Bindippers-£11m-bid-for-Aj That's hilarious, apparently we're interested in AJ, the story is bs as its by talkshite. Someone says that he wouldn't let AJ go for anything less than £16m .. Sorry, give me a minute...
Hence why I used the word "strengthen" and then used this quote in my next post: "but he wasn't strengthening he was Carras replacement." #readallpostsfirstdickcheese
in the end this is all down to the rating of coates and skertl and even agger if you like. rodgers doesn't rate the first two and agger has well highlighted injury issues. not having another CB in i think is a frustration to rodgers and a failure in targeting appropriate players willing to join us. Now we must buy and will be looking at 2/3 guys max.
5:37 PM@SkyJamieCasey @skyjamiecaseyLiverpool are odds-on (2/5) to sign Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv, with Arsenal out to 16/1 for the Ukrainian forward. See all our transfer odds here. Who?
Nothing wrong with that, they're doing what we did with the Torres money a few years back; reinvesting it. Except they look to be doing it a little better than how we did Spuds have done very well with the players bought imo, if they click fast they could give United a run out for third.
Wide player, heard a little about him but never seen him play. Rumoured to have had him watched as well as Ayew and Kondogbia... (obviously not at the same time in the same game)
BBC Sport‏@BBCSport1m Ajax's Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen given permission to speak to Tottenham about move to White Hart Lane, says @bbcsport_david Must really be selling Bale then...... still wtf.
Just shows that you don't always need CL to get those players, just be willing to pay the price. IF they all blend well, they could easily be up there challenging for the titles, all of them.
And to think some moron Spud fans were saying they need Bale or should reject any bid and build around him. Bale ... or Lamela, Eriksen, Paulinho, Capoue and Soldado (plus random others
Lamela, Eriksen ( if true), Paulinho, Capoue, Soldado, Chadli, recalled Danny Rose from a successful loan spell. Think they need to sort the backs out but they have so much strength, pace, technique, creativity now, they will be tough going forward..... once they all click. EDIT: Before people throw around doom and gloom, it is not that, I still think we have every chance of CC or FA cup run, 4th though, no chance. Look at the players being bought, so many game changers, so many of those players will get them points and take draws to wins. Think we can run it closer ( 5-6) but jsut think it is now going to be one hell of an effort since we bought ( other than Mignolet and Toure) players for the next few years, while Tottenham bought for both now and the next few years. Helps having the Bale money come back of course, but this just shows how much of a cock-up we made with the Torres transfer and who we brought in.
Another source.... Sky Sports News‏@SkySportsNews2m Ajax give Tottenham permission to speak to midfielder Christian Eriksen #SSN So that midfield could be Capoue/Sandro, Paulinho, Eriksen/Dembele/Holtby .... pretty damn good.
I think it's quite risky from Spurs signing all these players before the Bale deal goes through. Madrid could quite easily pull out, leaving Spurs with a massive expenditure. You'd think Madrid would come in with lower offers knowing than Spurs need to get rid or risk not being able to afford all the players they've just brought in. Also amazes me that for all the money they're spending, they've still not bothered to sign a top class CB to play with Vertonghen or a decent LB/RB
Dont remember seeing him play but he has a really good scoring record for a winger and what we really needs is someone who can put away some of these chances we are wasting
