They are, yes. Help you understand what happened, I bet BM studies them. If your point is we should stop criticising, I disagree. Criticism is a positive thing - its undermining and slagging off players who are trying hard that is not. Posting this here won't help, but doing the same analysis is what BM and the team need to do (and I bet they do it). Perfection is exactly what they should be aiming for, you can see from this simple analysis how if the defenders had behaved slightly differently, that would not have been a goal, even with Lees slipping.

In fact, given my stated view that Lees needs some time on the bench, I realised from looking at this that he was by no means entirely to blame for the goal.

To Whitejock, I think Peltier initially was positioned correctly - he was watching for McGoldrick going left, and there was an Ipswich player a few yards back who was ahead of Austin and running at that same area (Austin caught him, but later). I agree though he also seemed as bit passive - sort of ran parallel to Mcgoldrich after Lees went over, but did not get at him.

Agree Lees can't help slipping, though it happened because he was completely surprised by Mcgoldrich's change of direction, which he should have been watching for if he had been aware of the gap that was there.

On the analysis of the goal, I never really considered Warnock's position and looking back on it he was slightly out of position but would've needed to bust a gut to get back (not to say he shouldn't have obviously). I have part blame on Pearce because he lost almsot every header to that Daryl Murphy especially in the first half, didn't seem too committed to trying to win it then either. I think peltier was in a fine position and couldn't really have done much more unless he could read the future. So I would put partial blame on Pearce and Warnock, the keeper obviously couldn't do anything as it was a great finish but realistically most of the blame is still aimed at Lees as you can't just expect players to cover you all the time if you make a critical mistake like that despite the fact that they should be attempting to do it all the time and in a perfect world they would.

Agree lees can't avoid blame, Josh. What I think is interesting is how when you look at it all 4 of the back four had a part to play in what was unfortunately a failure. Definitely the back 4 working (or sadly not working) as a unit. On Warnock, understand he'd have needed to have been an Olympic sprinter to head off the goal, but that's because a) he did not drop back to cover behind Pearce when he went for the header, and b) he was slow to start running back when their attack started

Ipswich goal ... don't show the attacker inside. Peltier did it against Owls as well, and it causes havoc for the CBs. Now, we know McGoldrick loves scoring against us, and he always ducks inside to line up a shot. McD looked very annoyed, guess they discussed exactly this happening.

Is this a hormonal-led response to the fact no one replied to you, Hoopy?

If it is, it 'appens.... chill..... this thread hasn't had much attention as its well past the game now,

and by the way I have posted 3 times on the QPR board this week, all 3 "sensible" posts, and I think I had one reply to just one of them, so thats just how it is, people reply to things that catch their eyes, we are not ignoring you

As I have said a few times, although BM is clearly getting something going with this Leeds squad, we are short in a number of areas and I regard the QPR visit as a big test, if we do ok I might start to think about a top 6 being possible. We have had some many false starts, we don't tend to get too excited too soon.

And if thats not what you are posting about, do enlighten us <ok>

Look lads, we're going to take you apart this Saturday. We're just waiting to get at yis and put a long overdue end to this "massive Leeds" sh*te once and for all.

And what are you gonna do about it? Is Matt Lucas gonna stick his husband in the hole to take balls from his wing men? <laugh>

The words "lambs" and "slaughter" spring to mind and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it! :1980_boogie_down:

**** off you knob. Fernandez is going to take his cash back when you fail to get up (and you will). Your decline will make ours look like a minor stumble.

2020, you're a good lad. Its a pity some of your boys here like mouthing off as much as they do.

Cheshire, we was already up when you put one on us that day in London. Saturday is a totally different story. We need the points this time and we're going to take 'em. Your Michelin Man of a keeper ain't going to be able to do much when Austin starts peppering his goal, other than flap about like a fat clown trying to catch a bubble.

Face it boys, you're past it. Your days as a decent Club are over. You're fu*king Tinpot!
