Just got back from travelling europe... obviously bbc sport tells me a little but can anyone sum up what ive missed? Whats the optimism like? Vardy the main man?
Vardy's been terrific. Wood less so (bet you don't see that coming back in Jan). Marshall looks to be on his way. Konch probably isn't. Young Moore has also been great for us and won Man of the Match about 5,000 times.
Played pants (Leicester versus Leeds was possibly the worst game I've ever seen), still managing to accumulate points, Vardy good, Wood not-so-much, everyone happy with the points but not thrilled with the performances That about it?
sounds good!! Marshall seems to have come out of no where - didnt see that one coming. Glad to hear moore doing well. Ill follow vardy with interest
yes, top time thanks. Graduated from uni this summer and thought if we didnt do it now we never would!!
Most of it has been summed up already but other points David Nugent has said he needs to take more responsibility as one of the older pros. Thats why he is taking penos now Andy King has said he wants to stay here for the rest of his career. Forest look like they are going to bid again for Wes Morgan but they expect the same answer And Sean St. Ledger has pulled his hamstring...again If you havent seen any goals there on skysports website http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/leicestercity
haha oh right i thought you meant financially!! Also... how does it sort of work when vardy, wood and nuge all play?
Nugent played well last week, he pulled back and created numerous chances for the front line. Giving Vardy, King and Drinkwater all decent chances Jamie Vardy worked very well and was a complete pest. A bit like the odd Dickov but more pace and abit less ability Chris Wood struggle to get into the game
Worth saying that the Leeds game was dire ... to the extent (I kid you not) that Sky commentators were apologising for days after and assuring listeners that their next televised game would be better I've been a critic of Nugent (as you will know) but not on his all round ability as a fotballer (only his finishing as a striker) - I actually like him playing behind the front two and that may well be where his future lies. Vardy has been refreshingly effective - he is still pretty 'raw' but his goals have been excellently taken and it was his improvised back-heel that was cleared off the line by a Derby defender only for it to hit his own keeper and bounce back over the line - so all in all he has contributed hugely to the 3 wins. Wes Morgan and Liam Moore have been imperious and Zak Whitbread has also impressed me - he rarely fails to find a colleague with his passing and has looked solid defensively. Yet to see much of Bakayogo but he is scarily quick and with De Laet we arguably have the two quickest wing-backs in the division if played that way.
Zak Whitbread has been alright this season but he scares the life out of me when he plays. You feel he is always 1 step away from making a mistake or giving a peno away
Yeah interrailing - cant recommend it enough!! Obviously its a bit of time away till next year but if you want any advice feel free to ask - there is plenty of stuff that would have been incredibally useful to know before we left which would have seriously helped.
