In time I will just put him down as another great player we have had.

I won't start name calling but we have been lucky to have the likes of:

    Hoddle
    Gazza
    Ginola
    Ardiles
    Berbatov
    VDV
    Keane
    Davids
    Bale

now we may not have won much. But not many teams do.

If this sale is the catylist for us actually performing on the pitch and being competitive I will choose to remember Bale for that and his goals.

Sorry. It's my bad English habit. It no long has the violent implications it once had but I'm still wrong to use it.

I would also put him on that list and will regard him as one of my favourite players ever. But the way he's acted means I'm more than happy for him to leave. Add to that the fact it looks lie we'll get 90m for a player who in a fair few games last year isn't track back, waste good attacking moves shooting from (even for him) ridiculous places and trying to take on too many players or misplacing simple passes - I'm fairly happy to see him leave an think he will flop at Madrid.

As I've said before I'm not too keen on Erikson ... But Roo's excitement is rubbing off on me and I now really want us to sign him and for him to prove me wrong!!!

Come on Levdini get it done... And don't come back with Ryan Babel.

Haha, yeah, i've never seen him play but Chief-Not606-Scout Roo rates him so sign him up!

Sounds like he has bought in!

Vlad the impaler doesn't seem like a fitting nickname for someone that cries so easily :)

Good lad though, lets get him in. Its all gonna come together now the turncoat is going

I have switched on my AVB interpreter devise, and according to that he meant to say :

"there were aspects of the way that Madrid went about conducting the transfer which were not ideal, but nevertheless"

If bale is so keen on rm maybe he should ask them to stop ****ing around and pay up!
Doesn't surprise me though ... Great player but 85m?
I don't care how he gets on at real ... But am pleased we did our business before selling to those **** bags...

I like the fact that Chelsea see us as contenders when half the fans don't.

I think it might well be in our interests to delay it, if Madrid are selling players. The closer to the window it is the less likely our rivals will be able to pick up the players.

sorry mate, I've just got back from Amsterdam after having had to drag Levy and Baldini out there by their ears. <laugh>
Lol. Just got in from work.

I'm happy for you all to blame me if you're not impressed by Eriksen (should we sign him) as I have praised the guy endlessly. But as things stand (when you don't know how a player is going to fit in until they actually play for you) Eriksen is a "tottenham type of player". You know those players you just get a feeling about? the ones you can see just working for us?

I know SOS will back me up on that. He's got elements of him game he needs to work on, but he's only 21, he plays for Ajax and his ability is fantastic, IMO. we are desperate for his intelligence. Raw talent which could develop into a world class player. He's VDV part deux, IMO.

I said this the other day too. - before Bale rocked up with his special free kicks this season, we didn't have anyone who was a threat. Eriksen is a great free kick taker and has already scored 2 this season. We need to remember that this part of our game needs addressing when Bale leaves, so you're getting that from Eriksen.

He might flop, any player might. But I'd rather be signing someone who's played for Ajax, represents his country, is only 21 and had already got bags of CL experience, and only costs £12m, than someone who is gonna cost us £30m and doesn't justify the price tag.

To think we paid £9m for Sig who's previous experience was Reading and Swansea, makes the Eriksen deal a complete no brainer for me. I will be gutted if another window passes and we don't sign him.

...cue a total and utter failure of a player <laugh>

VDV, Keane and Davids don't belong on that list imo.

Eriksen is already twice as good as Gylfi and Holtby. Take this from someone who watches Ajax regularly and I'm sure Cove will back me up on this. My only worry, which is what I was getting at earlier is the amount of players coming in/ potentially coming, some won't be starting and my worry is Eriksen could be one of.

Eriksen has a touch of Modric AND Rafa about him, brilliant technique, keen eye for a pass and his eye for goal is also improving. Already got 2 or 3 this season.

I have no doubt in my mind that he'll be a success here providing he gets the right game time.

it was about £8m or £9m, yes.

If he's coming in mate, 1 or 2 are going. We wouldn't be going for him otherwise. Eriksen will not be a bench warmer with us. he's CL standard. If anyone is going to end up dropping to the bench, it'll be Dembele on a more frequent basis.

Sig back to swansea on loan on deadline day. you heard it here first. ;)
