    Thanks Cove

Slight problem, I don't think any of us can speak or read Dutch. Is there a translate button on that site?

You gave us the English for one line <ok> but it would have been interesting to read the whole thing. Still in Dutch on my pc.

It's the AD, bit similar to the daily mail when it comes to transfer rumours. Not too reliable and mostly copy pasted from other sources. There is no English version of it I'm afraid. And one line in English could be up to three in Dutch. We take our time saying things. I once had to translate a three page document. In English it was one and a quarter page.

Only posted it because it was in line with the press conference yesterday.

Taken off the other board(credits to Thomasblue)

Gaston Sporre, Heerenveen manager, says the reason why he lost his talks with Alfred Finnbogason Cardiff then be disagreement has prevailed in the camp of the Welsh team to acquire the player.

Sporre claimed the Dutch media the day before yesterday that Cardiff would like to link to Alfred and the player was subsequently given the green light to start negotiations with Cardiff.

However, there was nothing of that rule and Malky Mackay, Cardiff boss, the player was on the way to the company at a press conference yesterday.

'This came from a reliable source, "said Sporre, when asked by Cardiff who have put themselves in contact for Alfred.

'But now I realize that the one person within the company will get the player while the other party is against this transfer. "

It is still unclear whether Alfred will remain in camp Heerenveen before the transfer window closes in a few day but numerous scouts will follow him in the game against Ajax last weekend.

Seems more like double dutch to me.

If I read that correctly, someone at City wanted the player but someone else didn't? VT putting the breaks on Malky's spending maybe?

Some technicalities in there: Marco van Basten is the manager, Gaston Sporre is the Interim General Director at the club. Sporre never said he would like to link Finnbogason to Cardiff but that Cardiff approached Heerenveen.

Oh and Finnbogason ripped Ajax a new one in the game last week, Ajax was fortunate enough to get an equalizer, 3-3 in the end.

Anyways, for those who are a bit interested in what's happening in the Eredivisie and Dutch football, follow me on twitter:@thecovereport

Here is the translation from the Dutch site:-

Transition from Finnbogason ricocheted off the transfer of Alfred Finnbogason to Cardiff City seems the job.
Reported that AD Sportwereld. The club from the Premier League has been a day to hear. Anything from him
SC Heerenveen therefore assumes that the transition has ricocheted.
"There's everything going on," says Gaston Sporre. "One wants him, the other does not. It is a dark story. "

So my two lines all covered it, with better nuances and more suitable synonyms. You don't need Google translation, you need a Dutchie <whistle>

It is Bluey, but they call it a cap.....<whistle>

    1) Grolsch is good, but so is Nuits-Saint-Georges.

    2) Don't do much garlic, but then again you can't eat tulips.

3)You can steal mine anytime - how much do you want?

Sparks - that is not stealing that is either selling or bribery. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Anyway I think Cove missed the point in the term "Frenchie". No wonder we called them "Johnny Foreigner". <whistle>

Couldn't do that now of course as it might hurt someone's feelings. Ahhh bless!!!

    1. Try a Hertog-Jan, best beer we got
    2. The last time I ate a Tulip was never, neither did my parents, my grandparents and the generation before that.
    3. Send me a picture first, the uglier, the more cases of beer I will request <cheers>
