I think its possibly true and what he is trying to say is quite obvious and correct. We have a vastly more talented squad, with the largest difference being technical levels. Don't get dragged into some physical contest and ensure we make our class count. As we saw last night, the lower league clubs are bang up for these games, don't let them get their tails up by playing them at their own game.

Its a game we should win regardless of line up, and one where we should be looking to control via possession football.

This witchhunt and finding the evil in everything he says is amusing though. Once our lot get a bee in their bonnet, its like a dog with a bone.

It's not a witch hunt, it's just against City we're told it's a difficult game and anything other than a drubbing is a bonus. Yet when we play Morecambe away we're told to be careful of their physical presence etc as there's a good chance they'll beat us if the game goes that way. We should be on a different planet to them ability wise, we should impose our game on them and then this Pardew comment wouldn't even be necessary.

Just needs to be a bit of middle ground from the manager.

So far we've had City's resources are too much for us, West ham have bought well and their players know this league and now we've got Morecambe are physically stronger than us. I mean when are we going to hear him be positive about our chances/ability in a game.

Nah its a witchhunt for me now. Essentially looking at all his comments heading into the game, its one he thinks we should win, and we should be using our superior technical talents to do so. I agree. Just to dampen the torches and blunt the pitchforks though here is articles that can't construed as anything other than he expects players to perform and he expects to win and to cope with expectation.

Not for me, but I'm all "not 606'd" out for today so I'm off to get ready to watch the game. Enjoy lads and lasses.
