    Signed in January 2006
    Contract expires June 2015
First contract was paid roughly £1,600,000 per year
New contract signed in 2010 will be paid £2,600,000 per year
    Signed for £2,000,000
    Total £22,700,000

Games played 135 plus 43 Substitute appearances = 178 in almost 8 years
That's almost £130,000 per game he has cost Arsenal, almost 10 years salary for me, its a f'ing disgrace

Not really his fault he's had such persistent injury problems.

But it's the club's fault that they've paid him for 10 years of football when he's played, in total, 3-4 full seasons worth of matches. That's a disgrace.

I think the players are insured. When they get injured the policy pays their salary.

They haven't paid him for 10 years of football, he signed in 2006.

And we had no idea he would suffer such persistent injuries. There was another player who was consistently injured and people called for him to be shipped out, before he became the best striker in the PL.

Insurance will have covered large chunks of that cash, we couldn't have known how injury prone he would be and whenever he is available he is a great player to have in the squad. Not too much reason to be annoyed about it, it just goes that waywith some players.

Not his fault but the clubs and Wenger's fault for having average french players on 40/50k a week

To be fair, although he has a horrendous injury record when he's fit he's a great midfielder with the potential to be one of the best.

Sadly though only fleetingly. Never seems to be able to string a number of games together before breaking down.

Potentially a very good player but his injury record has made him useless to us. Either change his fitness trainer/regime to RVPs or Rosicky's or sell on asap.

He is injured until much later in the season and for now the only option is to treat his injury and see if he is able to return from it. Until his contract runs out i expect this to be the case unless he gets over his injuries no-one will pay for him.

If he gets over his injuries he still has the time to become a world class player. I genuinely feel sorry for the guy that he hasnever manaegd to stay fit enough to truely prove his worth.

He will most likely run his contract to an end and if he is still struggling with injuries be let go on a free.

Probably no one, but he's taking the place of a midfielder that can actually play for us!

Yes he's a very good midfielder, at times he can be unplayable, but whats the point if he only plays like a highlights reel from youtube?

It's a sad end for such a talented player if he leaves on a free. I hope he can do a RVP/Rosicky type recovery.

Skill-lacki has milked Arsenal for more than that , for even LESS service.

That was a bigger disgrace .

What about RVP? 1 and half seasons and fecked off when things got better for him. RVP surely milked us big?

You can add Djourou to that list, a player who has not improved but got worse in the 10 years he has been at Arsenal
