<peacedove>On Sunday Liverpool at home to Manchester United. The brutal encounter with Notts County last night put three of our players on the side line. Only Liverpool and Tottenham are currently with one hundred per cent record in the premiership this season. After Liverpool game is the North London derby Arsenal v Tottenham.
The game against United is always a tough one and always with goals in it, yellow cards and possibly red card.
Brendan Rodgers assured us that all the senior players especially those that are fit to play are not going to be affected by Notts county brutal game.
This game against United is too close to call, but I am going with my heart.
    Liverpool 3:2 Manchester United.

If it helps anyone..... I WILL be watching the game!! <laugh>

Might go to the local Irish pub for this one, loads of United fans around here and two of my Irish mates in the area are big ones so would love to watch with them and have some solid banter.

Lawro has gone for 1:1 Draw.

    Liverpool v Man Utd (13:30)
A massive game in any season.

It's been a good start to the season for Liverpool, they've not conceded a goal in two league games but we will have to wait and see if Kolo Toure is fit after he came off injured against Notts County in midweek. The former Manchester City man has been excellent so far.

Is Sturridge the man for England?
    Daniel Sturridge
"Daniel Sturridge has started the season very well but already people are saying he should be going to Brazil [for the World Cup] with England. We've only played three games, let's calm down.

"England have got to get there first, anyway. If he continues his progression he has every chance but it's very early days."

Brendan Rodgers played a strong team in that cup tie, with Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge playing the full 120 minutes, but I'm right behind that. Liverpool are not in Europe this season and you want your players up to speed as soon as you can.

The person whose name begins with 'S' who is being talked about at Anfield is Daniel Sturridge now, not Luis Suarez. That's good for the club, especially as it looks like Suarez is staying. They have options in attack and will be tough opponents for anyone this year.

I was at United v Chelsea on Monday and I don't think either manager was unhappy with a point. It was a United team which didn't make many chances but you can put that down to the way Chelsea were lined up.

I can see it being a similar game at Anfield, it will be 120mph, not much football will be played and both teams could cancel each other out.

The Wayne Rooney saga will probably drag on right to the deadline so he will be the focus of attention yet again, but if Manchester United don't sign any attacking players then there is no way he can go.

If David Moyes pulls some rabbits out of the hat then that may change. Rooney gave everything against Chelsea and no doubt he will again if he plays against Liverpool.

    Prediction: 1-1
