    Really? That's unbelievable.

On paper they have the best team in Africa, but to be honest never achieve.

Egypt and Nigeria seem to be the only consistent nations atm.

Seems quite a few Everton fans are willing to pack his bags.

Jesus wept let this have legs — but better legs than Victor Anichebe!

I'll be awful sorry to see him go. Does he need any help with his bags?

I think Vic was born to play for Hull.
I've actually got a bit of a slight soft spot for them, for the reason that they play in the same kit as my last Sunday League side. Very nice, it was. But anyway...

I think Hull were after him a few seasons back, when Mr Brown was the manager. He's just a Hull kind of guy, I guess.

If the only thing Roberto does whilst he's our manager is sell Vic followed by Osman. Then he's been worth the appointment.

I wonder whether the word 'Anichebe' has anything to do with tigers, in the Nigerian tongue? If this is the case, it is kind of 'serendipity', but even if it doesn't, like you say, I think they are made for each other.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr eat!

I can see where people are coming from regarding selling Anichebe on, for me he will never be a good enough player for the Premier League, goals record, technique ect ect is awful and a very questionable attitude on too many ocassions and will probably never reach the 10 goal mark in a Premier League season.

But I am going to be a little worried if we start deciding that now, with less than a week of the transfer window left, is a clever time to start losing more squad players, plus as is expected Fellaini.

I really do hope Martinez has something up his sleeve if one or two players do go, we have a small squad as it is.

If needs be can we organise a whip round to make sure Hull have sufficient funds to take this big lump of lard off our hands?? No more suited to the Premier League than I am!! And I suspect Hull won't be playing in it for too long!!

Victor did okay for us last season and doesn't deserve the comments on this thread.I don't think he fits in the Roberto project but neither do most of the squad. Jelavic doesn't look like he has a goal in him so I'd start Vic with Kone.
It won't happen though. Vic should do himself a favour and go.

His attitude sucks and he has glass limbs but do we really want to be selling forwards at this stage of the window with no sign of anyone coming in?
Martinez has already told us not to expect to see Deulofeu until January (please explain?) and with Kone and Jelavic yet to fire I can see no sense in letting Vic go

He was Everton's main striker last season, a season in which they finished 6th. He's certainly not the best striker in the league, but he's better than what we 've got now.

I think he's the kind of striker that will look woefully short of ability against top defenders but a Los one that could well do the business for us against the likes of Palace, Cardiff, Sunderland, WBA etc etc. So on that basis if a reasonable fee can be sorted then lets give him a go because I don't see us signing anyone Bendtner. Ed. Ooops! I meant to say better!

If we looking at Anichebe, I don't know why we're not looking at Carlton Cole, he's got a better goal scoring record and he's available on a free.

I'd take Cole or Anichebe. I don't see why people keep going on about loaning players; we aren't broke or in the Championship. If we want somebody, we'll just buy them. When we were in the Championship, we tended to loan players who would improve the squad but wouldn't want to come full time. Now we're in the PL, we need to be buying these players and solidifying our position, not borrowing players and letting them go at the end of the season.

Has anybody snapped up Phillip Hosiner yet? I don't think he'd break the bank and he's been banging them in for Austria Vienna.

They want £5m for him, there were a lot of rumours about Everton signing him a month ago, but it seems to have gone quiet.

    He'd be brilliant.

It was only in The Sun, it doesn't seem to have been followed up by anyone else.

Mind you, after losing 6-0 last night, they probably need him.

Sagbo's only had a handful of caps for the Ivory Coast, so i doubt he'd play even if they had qualified.

I'd deffo take Anichebe. He's better than anything we've got at the minute.

Sack off Stewart, Mclean, Fryatt & Proschwitz.

3.5 goals per game compared to 2.87, either one is still better than what we have, also VA would never be worth or cost £5 Million, when PB was here there was talk of £3 million.

Also by the sounds of it, they're not too happy with Jelly, I assume Jelavic, maybe get him at a knock down price. Although I highly doubt that in any world right now.

Who's the mystery striker? His stats look like Odemwingie's; how come you didn't just name him?
