Agree with this. I barely post anymore, whenever I do have a read it seems for every well thought out , reasonable post there's three posts from people just choosing to wallow in misery

Edit: fkin phone man just likes to post replies when it feels like. What was I sayin.

Anyway, yeah cases in point..the cabaye situation, maybe ha hasa chosen not to play. If he has ill be on his back (ooer) like anyone else, but let's wait till we find out before we go an andy carroll on him. Criticism for his effort last season fair enough as its based around fact.

Also situations such as a krul bid from arse, before I even open a thread I know there will be a post stating along the lines of 'ashley will no doubt bite their hand off for *made up lowish figure* completely ignoring the fact ashley did the exact opposite last year

Damn posting off this phone Is a nightmaree. Fuggedabouit.

Maybe the fact we play in black and white is what's making people so negative...nah of course I know a lot of criticism is justified, times are difficult. When people sit around making post after post of often unjustified negative nonsense I have to wonder what theyre about though. Anyone need some antipdepressants from the doctor? :cheesy:

    No.

We enter two competitions with a chance to win, why would I want us to lose at the first hurdle against a lower league team like Morecambe and the embarrassment that will come with it. Besides, Pardew won't get the sack on the strength of this one result.

All it would do will be to the club in a weaker position and impact on the confidence of the players, potentially causing a more volatile SJP against Fulham.

We won't win this competition whatever happens. We almost always end up getting a hard draw away, often against Arsenal.

Our best chance was a couple of years ago when we lost to Blackburn. We'd have had a quarter final against Cardiff away. And this was when we actually had talent.

In other news, I see in the Journal that Pardew is bracing us fans for the worst:

I've never heard the like. Truly astonishing.

On the one hand it might rain, on the other hand it might not. Better wear a glove on one hand.

Then again, knowing our luck, you better wear a glove on each hand.

So lets get this right, members of our "support" want to lose? Interesting approach.

WTF is he talking about? I cannot fathom for the fcking life of me what he's trying to achieve by saying that. It's almost as if he half expects the latter to be the case. Unsettling isn't the word. Unseating in his case, more like.

That's obviously not the question. The question is would you accept or even take a loss IF it meant the manager, whom many of us have NO time for, was removed from his position. Bear in mind this is a competition Pardew does not rate, has no interest in and couldn't win anyway. That's how we feel - could we win this cup with Pardew in charge, fiedling Dan Gosling and Rob Elliott? No, not a fcking chance. So might as well be shot now and have an excuse to sack the useless bellend into the bargain, bring Poyet in and give us a glimmer of hope.

What's your take on his comments about losing tonight, against Fulham and not replacing Cabaye? I've never heard anything like it.

Only if it meant Pardew were to lose his job.

It's like saying would you prefer to win against Fulham but have Colo, Ben Arfa, Sissoko & Mbiwa sent off or lose have have all players available for the next 3 games games...you'd go with the second option as longer term it's the better choice.

I've voted for lose and him to go because in my opinion that's what would be best for the team and the club in the long run. I didn't vote for us to just lose, there's reasoning behind it but gloss over that and say some of us want us to lose is just incorrect.

Well Dummett, Bigi and Sammy are starting tonight, which tells you Pardew's approach. Sometimes I think he's terrified of losing to lower-league opposition (yet again), and so plays weak teams to give himself an excuse.

Pardew could make Barcelona or Celtic a mid-table side.

Wouldn't say playing Dummett and Bigi is playing a weak team! I think it will show us if they are ready or not for first team football which I believe both are. As for Sammy, well......

Haven't seen the interview so couldn't comment.

Any desire to see us lose regardless of perceived benefit is completely moronic in my book and goes against everything that comes with supporting the club. I find it wrong but agree with others that its not exactly surprising with our support at times. Big believer in getting behind the players through thick and thin. How the club is run and who the manager is, is not really anything to do with the support. We have no control over it.

    Just my opinion <ok>

Any mention of us taking a loss, wanting to lose, losing so he is sacked or however it is dressed up is just plain stupid in my book.

Aye, you're entitled to it. Guess it depends on who you think is to blame. It's not like it's two games of cr@p, it's been 40 games of cr@p and counting. He has no nous, no inspiration, no confidence. Add to that the tired excuses, confused messages and downright lies...well, fair to say Pardew's pretty much dead man walking now, even if only in the eyes of the fans - moronic or not.

I do agree, however, that I would not have voted yes if the same poll had been done for this weekends match. 3 points are crucial for this team, whoever's in charge. I'd have rather Gouffran hadn't missed, whether papering over the cracks or not. The League Cup, though? Pardew takes it as seriously as Wenger does, we cannot win this cup. I doubt we'll win tonight. So would I take the loss and replace the boss? 'Fraid so.

Don't get me wrong, the manager is struggling and not covering himself in glory. I just want us to win every game.

So why highlight these as being part of a weakened team? I would assume most of the players will be first teamers with a sprinkling of our squad players who will hopefully fight for a first team slot.

Also, how will the likes of Dummett and Bigi improve if they are not introduced?
