Well, Button's still delivering and he seems to work well with Mclaren, makes good sense, by the end of that deal either Perez will be ready to take over or he never will be and Mclaren will have to get someone else in. Either way, not really surprising.

Interesting article here from Jonathan Noble:

Also this would be AWESOME, even if his teammate would be the undeserving Russian rich boy.

Would make sense for Sauber to help quiet down Ferrari on those engines they still need to pay for by bringing in Bianchi.

I'm thinking Force India could also be a good option for Bianchi.

They signed Sutil because of Mercedes. Why did Mercedes back him? To stop Force India signing Bianchi and therefore switching to Ferrari power. Do Mercedes care about him now? Probably not, because they've already secured the deal with Force India. Bianchi also has the advantage of no longer being a rookie, and Bianchi has a new sponsor (RotorTrade). He parted with Force India on good terms. Why not replace Sutil?

More likely Di Resta will get replaced and it will be a Sutil/Bianchi lineup because Di Resta seems to be treating his team like **** IMO and they're getting sick and tired of him. Mercedes would have clauses in that they want a Mercedes/German connected driver in one of those cars.

Paul doesn't need a team, in fact they only drag him down. He's so much better when he does it all himself.

Has anyone noticed that the joker at McLaren seems to be playing around with Perez and Button's heads? IS he trying to make the news or make himself relevant? What's all this Nonsense Whitmarsh is trying to bring up. One day he is happy with Button and Perez and next day he is "Completely Open" to talk with Kimi? So if he talks with Kimi and makes a deal would Perez be reserve driver? Remember he says he is quite happy with keep both Button and Perez. I think he should concentrate on making a better car and stop talking crap. All that talk and nothing to back it up is what cause Lewis to run after last season. He needs to stop talking and let's see some action.

Whitmarsh: Last year we had talks with Kimi, I’m a big fan and completely open

McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh has admitted that his team has considered luring Kimi Raikkonen back to the team and he is completely open to entering into negotiations with their former driver amid all the speculation regarding the Finn’s future.

Speaking to the official F1 website Whitmarsh was asked if he had considered having Raikkonen back in a McLaren. he answered, “Yes, we have. Kimi has always been great and I am a big fan of him. There is a lot of speculation out there at the moment, so let’s see what happens.”

“I’m completely open – last year we had talks with him, but for various reasons it didn’t happen. This year we’ve had no talks – yet,” said Whitmarsh.

I think that Ferrari will ditch Massa this year, if the rumours are true then they probably leaked that story on purpose so that representatives of other drivers don't start to think that they might have an easy job getting him into the seat.

Plus a timely confidence boost in the team ahead of Monza so the fans don't get on his back and make the Scuderia look bad.

I hope Hulk goes to Ferrari, I think he has so much to give but has had poor luck when it comes to chances.

It seems Massa has the next few races to up his game or lose his seat. But I think he has been dragged along for about 5 years now and Ferrari are losing out in the WCC because of it.

Webber is leaving RBR so Ferrari need somebody to take on 'Ricciardo'

I actually think that Massa did a decent if unspectacular job last year and at the start of this year. However, those three races on the bounce where he crashed out were what really flung him out of contention.

He's just not consistent enough anymore, Ferrari need him to be performing how he did in 2006 and 2007 if he is to be any use to the team regarding Alonso and getting the WCC. It's no good being quick for a couple of races at the start of the season and then just tailing off for a prolonged period of time. Ferrari need someone they can rely on more.

Oh don't get me wrong, Massa deserves to go, sadly, it's just a shame he keeps going off the boil. Hopefully he'll be remembered (because I doubt in the current F1 economic climate he'll find it easy to get another seat) as the guy who gave Hamilton a huge run for his money in 2008.
