It sounds like 'doubtful times' for Proschwitz: http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19716678-detail/story.html?#axzz2d3hr3ppQ
He's been having doubts since a few months after he signed him, we secured him a loan deal in Germany last January, but cancelled it when Aluko got injured. If we can find any takers, he'll be gone.
He's a frustrating bloke. There have been really brief glimpses of something, but when you really want him to succeed and build on it, he lets you down again. He's not going to come good, if you ask me.
Well I for one will be disappointed if he doesn't get some kind of a chance, particularly given what SB said only three weeks or so ago that he thought both NP and Fryatt would get their chance sometime this season. I accept that my view may be based on hope more than anything else but even the most optimistic of us will usually base our hope on something tangible and as other posters on here have said many times, Prossy does show impressive glimpses which given a decent run might develop into something more impressive. AND, for what it's worth, two games in ( I know, only two), Graham hasn't shown even a glimpse.
No goals from either NP or MF ain't great, but the O's ain't mugs either; my main concern is the general lack of threat. Send NP out on loan to a Champs/L1 team where he has a good chance of regular games and try and sell MF, then buy.
Yeah, only just realised that H_Tiger - got up at 6.30am over here in Melbourne. It was already extra time and Proschwitz was off. After I typed the above comment I discovered he'd played. Anyway, maybe I'm just bloody stubbornly hanging on to my view but I'm not sure that a cup game against Leyton Orient is necessarily going to be the best measure. He seemed to me to get better as last season progressed and was arguably a little unlucky not to have two against Cardiff when we most needed him. Mind you, even I would run out of patience eventually - I just haven't quite yet - and I'd like to see him get one or two Premier league games.
It would appear that NP would not have played if Graham had been allowed and Bruce's comments makes no secret of his inability to tough it out in our game; we cannot give him the game time he needs, so it's loan or sell, there's no point in anything else.
Sell Stewart, McClean and Proschwitz. Get a decent striker in with the money raised and I'll then be very confident that we make a good fight of it this season. I know, sounds easy when written like that.
A shame young calum didn't score a hatrick when he came on, he could be the answer to all our problems
Between them, they're now on about £50k a week, that's why we can't get rid of them. I think we'll shift Mclean, there'd be takes for Fryatt, but the other two are going to be hard work(unless the Celtic interest in Stewart is true).
Can someone seriously answer the question of how many consecutive starts has NP had for us can't be more than 3 at most. Also playing in completetly new 11s isn't easy for anyone, IMO NP never got a chance when ever the team has been playing well and creating chances, same for Fryatt.
He started the first three games of last season and the most consecutive starts he's had, though he's actually played 32 times for us in total. In those 32 games, he scored a good goal against Orient in the cup, won us the game against Ipswich and looked half decent against Cardiff. Outside of that he's been utter ****e.
