Difference was Sterling's tackle was side to side so could be classed as shoulder, where as Ibe's came from a slight angle behind. If he didn't give the first, was no way he could give the 2nd.
That's just banter mate we know where you are in the great scheme of things but as usual form, status and everything else goes out the window on Sunday. ****ing hate this fixture I'll be glad when it's over.
Ibe's was more shoulder than Raheem's (who used his arse) but both should have been penalties. Ibe's was the more obvious one IMO.
Really...? I love this fixture (Anfield or Old Trafford) as it is what football is all about. I think too many people get wrapped up in the rivalry, end of the day its a game of football. Win, lose or draw, the banter will flow. always pissed off with a loss against them though
Agreed. What's the point in supporting Liverpool or any team if you don't look forward to the big games against rivals. The loses always hurt, but the victories are even sweeter!
I get too wound up and tend to watch it in a room by myself because of the swearing at every little mistake and sulk like **** if we lose. It's the only game that still gets to me like this I just can't help myself. If we win I'm ecstatic if we lose a nightmare to live with. I'm glad to get it over with, as are my family.
No opposition team gets to me like that, the only team that makes me angry to the point that I get really pissed off, shouts, wear, etc is Liverpool when we play poorly. I did this a lot under Woy which is why I wanted him out after a month or two
That's what I mean it's us that I get wound up with, every little mistake that I normally wouldn't get so angry about is amplified. Any fan that thinks that the rivalry between us has diminished over the years is mistaken.
I realised what you meant but if we make the mistakes against Man Utd or Notts County, I get angry in exactly the same way. Takes a lot for me to get annoyed mind, a couple more second halves like the Stoke, Villa and Notts county performances and I can see me smashing things
I'm usually quite chilled and patient early on in the season but I get what you mean, I'm happy with 6 points and next round of a cup but can't we just do it the easy way for once?
I know... Despite the rise of City, arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, the Liverpool fixture is the one match that United and their fans want to win (wherever you are in the table)
On a positive note, we have seen some young players get 120 minutes, a good lesson and a let off. Good young players, (which is what we have,) should improve mentally from a game like that and that can only be good for the future. I hope Skrtel is back for the weekend, but if he is not Wisdom will have an awesome experience (good or bad) Skrtel is playing in a behind closed doors game tomorrow so should be closer to fit for the weekend. Ibe and Sterling didnt have the best games, but they are 17 and 18. A Physical game is always going to drain young players after an active first half. Henderson looked good
I was actually kicked out of the house after we lost to WBA (0-2 at home) last season for kicking the coffee table. Just lost it when the 2nd went in.
I threw a DVD box set across the room and smashed a £150 lamp that I bought the Mrs for her Birthday Can't remember what game but it was last season I didn't get kicked out thought as I wear the trousers in my house
