I disagree...you can join the Army at 15 and 8 months potentially committing yourself to fighting in a warzone which in my opinion is alot more grown up and requires alot more responsibility. I think the way driver education is done in this country needs a revamp not the age regulations. Far to much is missed out and only the basics seems to be covered for example very few instructors are going to show you how to get out of a skid yet it is a lesson that could possibly save your life especially as an inexperienced driver in icey or wet conditions.
Passing a driving test is very similar to how football clubs are managed, do just enough to get through, actual skills come later when confidence is flowing high.
Very true. You could raise the age limit to 30 but all that would mean is that there was 30 year old inexperienced drivers causing accidents. As for responsibility well that doesn't always come with age *fondly remembers whizzing bout with mate and his mum at 100 odd mph...her high on codeine pills, us high on weed* *wonders how i'm still alive*
