So what are your predictions for tonight?

Personally, I can see this going down to penalties.

Piggott and Sordell to start up front, with places for Evina, Wood, Hollands and Green.

    COYR!

I think the Squad will pretty much be the same as when we played Oxford apart from Sordell coming in for Church and Jackson coming in for Stephens (unless injured in which case I'd have Cousins start)

Likewise I reckon this could be a long night and could see it going to penalties... If not its gonna be a tight 1-0 to Charlton

    I can see CP picking.....

    Hamer
    Wilson, Morro, Wood, Wiggins
    Green, Hollands, Cousins, Evina
    Pigott, Sordell

The result tonight should be a secondary thought for me. Yes, it is nice to have a cup run but tonight should predominantly be used to get either get minutes under the belts of those that need it (Jackson, Sordell) and allow the likes of Morrison and Wiggins more minutes to be able to play their way back into form, particularly as both were worst of an exceptionally bad bunch for that first twenty minutes on Saturday. It would also be nice to see Jackson come on at some point and get some minutes at some point.

Once again I like your thinking and your selection, Thurrock. I said after Oxford I hope he would keep faith with the same players, but the fact that our First XI only played half a game on Saturday does change things a bit and younger players like Morrison and Wiggins could play again. But Cort, Gower, and Kermorgant not, except as subs. I have no confidence in Green or Sordell but I accept CP has little choice but to start them tonight. I think 20 minutes is the most Jackson will be risked for.

The club already seem to have written this one off. No article on the OS. The last mention was the price of tickets on August 14th.

    Hamer
    Wilson, Wood, Morro, Evina
    Devite
    Hollands, Poyet,
    Green
    Sordell Pigot

Not much width and I dont think Poyet is ready yet, BUT injuries in midfield would prevent me from risking it. I like Dervite as a CDM rather than a CB and Danny Green could play just behind the front 2. Basically I don't mind getting knocked out (but i would still like to win) Don't want to risk injuries.

Not confident of this one, I'm afraid - I think only the margin of defeat will be an issue.

If roughly the side that turned out in the first round is picked, I see the margin being a lot closer than with a full first team out.

Sad but true Tewks, the full first XI will only bring us down.

I agree. They have more incentive to do well. The first XI would be consciously or subconsciously keeping something back for Leicester.

    Evening all <ok>

Charlton: Hamer, Evina, Morrrison, Dervite, Wood, Wilson, Stephens, Jackson, Pritchard, Sordell, Pigott.

Subs: Pope, Hughes, Green, Cort, Wiggins, Cook, Kermorgant

Looks like either a 5-3-2 or a 3-5-2 formation. Glad to see Pigott start again.

This team looks a real dog's breakfast, like the teams we fielded in pre-season.

Good to see Pigott starting, and I guess it is a compliment to Cousins that he is not playing. Means he will start against Leicester. Good to see Jackson is fit enough to start, though I am surprised they want to risk him for the whole match.

Is Morrison playing at RB (if so, why?). Or is Devite playing DM?

Commentator states it is 3-5-2. OK, the line-up makes sense now.

Also Hughes has surfaced again on the bench.
