Hasn't really featured so to get £1m for him is good business. After an exceptional start, he showed so much promise. Wonder what went wrong...
I'm pretty disappointed. He was stunning when we signed him and I can't help but think that they've got a bargain.
he can't or won't play up to standard for this club... you can't live on what could be or what might be... he's had is chance..more money being saved..great!
I would have kept him personally A short term loan would have been better for us Last season he was poor and his attitude was bad at times but still has the potential to be a very good player
If we were struggling for wide players, then I would keep him. But we have Dyer and Knocky, not to mention we've been playing 5-3-2/4-3-3. Still, it will be interesting to see if he gets his form back. Let's see what Pearson says in his post-match interview.
Schlupp has come on leaps on bounds since then aswell. Shame Blackburn didnt go for Gally instead Perhaps we could do a buy Marshall get Danns and Gallagher free deal?
Unfortunately I can't see anyone coming in to steal Gally from us! We're stuck with him, but I'm sure Stringer will be delighted. Regarding Marshall, I think I pretty much agree with FF's comment. For those that didn't hear Shakey's post match interview, Shakey claimed to have no knowledge of Marshall's imminent departure, and that it would be up to the director of football to inform Pearson/Shakey. So clearly this Terry Robinson fellow is calling the shots on any players in or out.
NP has probably given Robinson a list of players that can leave at the right price. (Drinkwater, Waghorn, Marshall)
not shocked to hear this news, he has become a forgotten man and unlike Vardy, who has battled his way back into the team, has been deemed surplus to requirements. Best of luck to him - he has the talent, needs the application.
Bad call by City in my opinion. I still think he'll be worth much more than that and we've handed a rival a quality player. Clearly his attitude isn't quite there but I'd have liked to have seen him stay. Don't know why we're still selling players, can't see that it would be a wages issue with Marshall.
King Power's profits have gone through the roof in the last 12 months and are expected to grow even further this year FFP is restricting us meaning we have to reduce our current losses of around 30M to 8M in 2 seasons
And just to add to that, things are going exactly as I expected they would under FFP, with the first team remaining strong but the squad getting smaller. It makes logical sense. We're just have to bring in emergency loanees if we get injuries. I'm sure Pearson is desperate to rid himself of Danns and Gallagher and probably Waggy, but nobody wants them. Konch is the only first teamer he wants to get shot of, because we can get better for cheaper.
If we can get shot of Danns, Konchesky, St. Ledger and Gallagher it would allow Nigel to go into the loan market and get in 2 or 3 more players. We worried that Wood and Nugent would lack competition this season but Vardy has stepped up Its a shame Marshall is going but we now have other ways of playing meaning he is expendable. Ideally we will get shot of at least 1 more and Nigel will bring in someone before the window closes
