Bit of a brave (possibly brash??) newish poster imho.

I think the 'OT' thing works just fine. Some are of interest, most are not (to me).

There is good discussion on this board and, after the posting rules were so extensively worked on by Brix, I would not wish to revisit them so soon after they were agreed.

Mate I'm not a new poster I have posted in many occasions , I had to start a new profile as completely forgot password and would not let me back in. I have been following all threads since bbc 606 stopped , I find my self looking on here many times a day love the site , however , recently the number of off topic posts has gradually increased and now clogg up the Qpr thread wall . As I said before this is a specific Qpr forum not idle chat world . Am I alowed this opinion btw or will I get the usual knobs who hide behind there computer .

Of course you're allowed an opinion. By starting a thread you'll get many other opinions to what you said. Not all will agree, in fact many will disagree. Unfortunately like all public forums there is a number of 'knobs' as you put it that can't deviate from their natural personality so will state it in that way. My own view about the OTs is I read the title and decide to either read it or not. Titles like 'Patting one's colleague on the bum' is a little out there as a topic but some obviously liked to indulge going by the views and responses (which is a little worrying). I've never ever opened the pub quiz or word association ones as they don't interest me. I find it quite easy myself when I reach the bottom of the page to click to the next page to see if there's anything else of interest so I can't see the relevance about how many topics are on 1 page. Maybe now the season is getting started there'll be less of them. Just my own view.

Great way to make friends and integrate yourself with the 'usual knobs' comment.

    And it's 'their'....not 'there' ;)

Who were you then? So that we know who we are talking to...

Anyway - my opinion is that, as a long time poster, how come the OT posts are only annoying you now? have you never thought to either a) say something about it before, or b) find a board that doesn't allow OT threads? It all seems a bit much for you to create this username and then immediately start berating posts that don't meet your own QPR-focused ideal....

Just what I was thinking............all this was discussed a while ago with dear old Brix/David. It was all agreed to be as it is now if I remember correctly.

    Welcome back mate,

I seem to remeber 1 particular previous poster who had an issue with only footbal related stuff allowed to be posted AND wanted to run the OT section of the board, but was abit upset when it was vetoed....??

    Welcome home Cerny?

Stange youd start an OT post complaining about OT posts? <ok>

Still haven't revealed exactly who you used to be....

Which means he's either a) a previously banned user trying to get round the ban with a different ID; b) a WUM trying to stir things up with multiple IDs; or c) lying about having been here before.

    Come on - reveal yourself!

Precisely ................ There have been a number of times where a member has posted detail requesting information / help / friendship, from fellow members and luckily, this family of friends has been here to offer assistance where we can on everyday situations.

To me, this forum of friends have a common interest, our team QPR but in truth, we are also here to enjoy each and others company on many other 'life' issues.

Cheers Nines ....................... Yesterday, I underwent surgery in hospital to remove what the doctor said was a 'large cancerous tumour' from the side of my nose, yet to see it, you would barely notice it ( it was all underneath the skin ) Anyway, cut a long story short, the old melon now looks likes it's gone 10 rounds with a prize fighter ............. all swollen and stitched up but I better not mention any of this being that it is not football related.

Hang on .............. it is! I entered hospital with my QPR shirt on and left with on as well !
