It might be Bendtner if Arsenal were prepared to do a deal with his wages similar to what they did with Chamakh and Palace.
Would have loved Nélson Oliveira but he's gone out on loan to Rennes. Scored 3 in 3 for them as well!
I think we need a number 10 type player, now we have Graham and Sagbo to lead the line. Someone like Le Fondre.
Aluko? I actually think Graham is better suited to #10 with someone along side him holding the ball up.
It amazes me that some keep throwing Le Fondre's name around when discussing Premiership strikers. Whenever I saw him start for Reading, he never made an impact, it was only when he came on as sub that I saw him play well.
Why dont we try to buy Livermore to free up a loan spot? We have a clause to buy him if we stay up.. but surely we could offer the same amount now and spurs would accept..
It's not as simple as that. Agreeing personal terms is not a formality. We do not know what the loan arrangement is with Spurs in terms of wages, or indeed whether Liverstone will be looking for an improved salary for his next contract.
Because the £3.5m clause is dependent on us staying up. He wouldn't want to play in the Championship, so if he signs, it'll be at the end of the season. I doubt we'll see any loans until January, when we've made up our mind on Graham.
We won't get Livermore until after this season (assuming we stay up). I think it's very doubtful that we will sign someone on a permanent so it'd have to be a loanee from a foreign league.
Sound as though from what you are saying we can send Graham back if we want in Jan????? Thought it was a season long loan? Shame we cant do this will all the players we sign. Should come with a 1 year warranty. In Citys case a lot would have gone back with a warranty claim.
If we want to cancel a loan, we can do it any time, but it wouldn't be much good doing it outside a transfer window as we wouldn't be able to sign a replacement. I assume we've paid a fee, so if we want to cancel it, we can, but it'll just forfeit the money we've paid. If Sunderland want him back, then they'd have to wait until January to recall him (which they won't, because a)they don't need him and b) PDC doesn't rate him). If he's done really well, we'll probably take him off their hands, freeing up a loan.
Ok we need a striker. We want one that would make an immediate impact, i.e. score goals as soon as he played. We had one last season who scored every game until he was hampered by a foot injury-Gedo. Got to think once fit he can score goals for us. Also got to think that he is not hanging around just because he likes the fish and chips at Carvers. Or loves to shop at "Hammondzees". So anyone no the actual situation with him. Is he still in Hull (think the answer is yes), is he fit again, if so is he training with the team?
