What if the 2 on loan help us get champions league and want to stay but Rodgers says 'Piss off, we can attract who ever we bloody want now!'.
doubtful as we need the money to strengthen other areas first, why strengthen an area if it works and you have a set price already agreed?
Do they? “He [Mata] is very important for me and Chelsea. The stories that are coming out [about him leaving] are nonsense stories. He goes nowhere and he is very important for me. “He had a very small pre-season after the Confederations Cup. During that pre-season he was injured. He started training two days before we played the first Premier League match. He played against Aston Villa and [against United] I decided to put him on the bench. “I played with De Bruyne on the right to have complete control of Evra defensively. When Juan plays on the right he comes more inside. I don’t say he has more tactical discipline but he [De Bruyne] is more adapted to that situation. I wanted Oscar to play behind the striker so I decided not to play Juan. “I put him in [on bench] for a situation where it was ‘Can we win?’. ‘Am I going to make another offensive change or no?’ In the 75th minute I was feeling, it was difficult to win. I didn’t want to lose so I made the changes just to control the last few minutes. No chance that Juan goes.”
wow! we are getting ambitious, is there any truth to Chelsea wanting rid then? i will run down the street naked if we got Mata, if this is more than media mischief i would be surprised they want rid and we got him.
Former Liverpool striker David Fairclough has told Sky Sports News Radio that Chelsea winger Victor Moses would be a good fit for the club. He said: “Brendan Rodgers says he need more options and I know he admires Victor. He needs to bring in an offensive midfielder and he’s a player that fits the bill.” by Rob Parrish 12:43 PM
Mourinho putting on a front so he doesn't look desperate. The talk of Mata leaving has been going on for a little while now and I don't think he'd be on the bench if he wasn't fit. Personally, I think we're definitely interested in him (who wouldn't?) but so would a lot of other teams, teams that are in CL. I'm guessing Mourinho would love to sell to us as we're not direct competition but Mata may not want to come.
Where are these Mata rumours coming from originally, can't see anything online? He's a great player and would fit the LW position but is also versatile enough to move around when needed, has good vision, quick thinker and creative so would link well with the likes of Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge. No way this is gonna happen though.
we have run out of Spanish stars who may have persuaded him as well. oh well, it was nice briefly thinking we had a fecking chance lol.
We've got no hope and Bob Hope of getting Mata, if he were on the Market, there'd be a host of teams, most likely all in the CL that would be in for him! Unless he was a boyhood fan but even then that counts for sum total of phuck all nowadays!
Absolute ludicrous story, and a Loan deal, makes it look even worse. Imagine how the chavs would feel, loaning out their best player.
