I've just lifted this from the BBC "gossip" page:-

"Tottenham striker Peter Crouch will not make himself available to play for England while Fabio Capello is coach because he felt humiliated by being left out against Switzerland."

Just who does this lanky streak of piss think he is? He's done absolutely nothing for us all season, and yet he thinks he should be first choice for England!

    Absolutely ****ing unbelievable!

Yes it's unbelieveably arrogant, but he's got a proven England record, and to not even have him in the squad is bad, especially with how weak Bent looked, and Zamora isn't god's gift to England strikers

Darren Bent is the in form England striker. Crouch won't be missed, he only seemed to score against the minnows anyway.

Yeah, that's true, but deserves a place on the bench? He'd have been good if we'd brought him on last night i'd have thought

Nice to see you are not only a moron on the Arsenal board. How earth do you know for certain that this why Crouch is not going to play under Fabio again? Also very funny that you got your source from the "gossip" page. Also is it just a coincidence that Crouch joins a list of players that have given up on England under Fabio Capello? I think his man management has to be piss poor for all these players to fall out with him. Peter Crouch seems like a guy that is not very arrogant so something must have gone on behind the scenes. And you do not have the evidence to abuse Crouch with your source being the "gossip" page. Also even according to your source it say he is unhappy not to be in the squad not the starting line up. So wrong again.

Oh, look, boys! We have a well-known and deeply despised Gooner WUM joining us.

    Hello, goonlet!

I suspect that you came here to engage is some first class debate, but you forgot that you don't actually know how to do that.

    I suggest you do one.

He never moans at Spurs, and lots of people have commented about Capello's man management, so there must be some truth to that. I can't believe I'm agreeing with an Arsenal fan, but you are right with what you're saying. Lots of players have been giving up, and most of them, their reasons seem a bit unrealistic

I agree. He has never ever come across as the arrogant type. Not making the bench must have been hard to take as his record with England is amazing. But even then i doubt Crouch would have just given up after 1 game. Must have been a result of a lot of little thing building up. Would not suprise me if all these players return once Fabio is gone.

I think that's what some are getting at. Crouch would, if it's Redknapp, you'd have thought

So we take on a manager with one finest records in the world, get to the world cup finals and he looks clueless. Followed by a series of gmes that are so bad I have given up watching England games. Players declaring they will not play for him, Bent playing the striker role.<steam>

Millions of pounds a year for a succession of failures. Great business. Next they will choose Harry and spoil his managerial career.

Perhaps all the stat lovers will learn something from this.

    I doubt it!

Capello isn't up to it. You look at the ROI and Giovani Trappatoni - now there's a good manager, he's got a team of Championship standard players competing and beating teams who are technically superior, and they play for each other as a team rather than a group of individuals.

Fabio was never very good at man management before England. Then you add his poor man management skills with his broken English it can only lead to utter failure.

Giovani Trappatoni is a great man. You can see he enjoys working with those players. He is very relaxed and the players feel that on the pitch. His work with ROI has been amazing. And if it was not for Henry cheating, Ireland could have been at SA 2010.

Its a plot by Crouch to get Capello out so that Harry will be the new manager. Me and my conspiracy theories.

What I don't get is why Zamora was on the bench and not Crouch, its not like Zamora is an up and coming England prospect like Sturridge or Wickham, he's actually 2 weeks older than crouch, and crouch has a far better international record. Take England v France, he came on, within 2 minutes scored the consolation goal. Ridiculous selection by the seemingly ever ridiculous capello.
