anything? I saw a programme on tv about a year ago and this boffin stated that light is only a reflection of something else and a distortion of colour. Does that then mean that the colour that something appears to be is the only colour that it can't possibly be?
Nope. Any 'thing' will absorb all wavelengths of light, except for one. This wavelength is the color which the object appears to you. This is why mirrors show all colors as they reflect all wavelengths.
You can't measure a piece of string. Apparently atomic particles can be in two places at once so you would never be sure of the size. So you can say whatever you want to your lass... the ruler doesn't work!
The reality we percieve is almost 1 dimensional, compared to the subtlety and complexity of atomic and sub atomic particles
How do we recognise colour? Is that because we use our eyes to pick up the various waves. If there are no light waves how can we tell there are different colours, and therefore different things around us? Would we even exist if we couldn't sense our surroundings? Are vegetables really living? Is this how a Mexican sees the world? It is actually a Mexican looking into the Matrix.
How do you know? You may be seeing the true colour of things and the rest of us are the ones with a problem! How do we know what everyone sees is the same colour?
