Pulis certainly went over to France a week or so back to look at some players, but who's to know who he was looking at. However this fella apparently got 17 goals last season in a struggling side so he sounds a pretty good player, a Fuller type by the sounds of it. He was linked to Spurs in January for £4m, i'd imagine his value will have doubled from January to now though.

    http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...-watch-list-for-Tony-Pulis-article744427.html

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis made a flying visit to check out French side Caen’s Morocco international striker Youssef Al-Arabi.

Pulis wanted to see the 24-year-old in action after glowing reports - and he will be returning at the start of next season as he looks for a new forward.

    http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...f-Stoke-Bolton-and-Everton-article744443.html

Celtic are putting together a package to try and tempt Craig Bellamy into returning to Glasgow on loan.

Bellamy, 31, is a wanted man since returning to Manchester City after a season-long loan at Cardiff.

The likes of Everton, Bolton and Stoke City are among those interested – but Bhoys boss Neil Lennon will be given the cash backing to join the race.

Palacios would be excellent and i would go all out to get him, failing that, Joey Barton would be perfect for us aslong as Tone can make sure he's a good boy.

IMO. Wouldn't take the risk with Barton, think he's over-rated, too much of a fiery character, a character which we know doesn't gel with Tone.

since the season has ended we have been linked with every player in the world, its getting ridiculous now. Ive just heard this though:

Tony Pulis has flown over to Barcelona to watch Messi. Iniesta and Xavi as he is reported to be interested in signing them. All three of them seem to be keen to join the mighty potters but have not put pen to paper.........watch this space!!!!.

Unless he adds Palacios to the deal i'd say no. But if he did go to Spurs this summer, then watch him being picked for England in September.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/194484/Harry-Redknapp-plans-Ryan-Shawcross-deal/

HARRY REDKNAPP is set to step up his bid to snare Stoke star Ryan Shawcross and will offer Sebastien Bassong as a makeweight.

Harry Redknapp sees Ryan Shawcross, 23, as the ideal player to toughen up his backline.

Redknapp has run out of patience with misfit Bassong, 24, and wants to do a player-plus-cash deal for no-nonsense Shawcross.

Potters chief Tony Pulis is desperate to keep Shawcross at the Britannia Stadium but knows the former Manchester United reserve will want to further his career at some point.

    http://www.teamtalk.com/tottenham-hotspur/6966872/Spurs-want-Shawcross-Report?

Tottenham are reportedly ready to step up their bid to sign Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross - and will offer Sebastien Bassong as a makeweight.

Harry Redknapp is a long-term admirer of Shawcross and now, after running out of patience with Bassong, he is ready to firm up his interest, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

Stoke are keen to keep Shawcross at the Britannia Stadium and the 23-year-old himself has recently declared himself happy at the club after they made it into the Europa League.

However, the Potters skipper has also admitted his desire to break back into the England set-up, something he would have a greater chance of doing at White Hart Lane.

The newspaper claims Spurs will offer Stoke cash as well as Bassong, while the north Londoners have a number of other players the Potters have previously been credited with an interest in should Tony Pulis be tempted by a deal.

The likes of Wilson Palacios, Jermaine Jenas and Peter Crouch are among those Harry Redknapp is willing to let leave this summer.

Stoke were also linked with Liverpool midfielder Christian Poulsen and Bari forward Erik Huseklepp on Sunday.

Another story on the same player mentioned above.

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_6857587,00.html

Youssef El Arabi has revealed that he plans to part company with Caen at the end of the season.

The France-born Morocco international has spent the last three years with his hometown club, becoming a first-team regular along the way.

Now 24, he is enjoying his productive season to date in 2010/11.

He has scored 14 goals already this season, with a number of impressive showings catching the eye of interested parties.

El Arabi admits he is now keen to take the next step in his career, with it his desire to turn out for a club that will be competing in Europe next season.

"I have made my decision and I will be leaving," he told L'Equipe, despite being under contract until 2013.

    Options

"I have told the club officials about this, but I will continue to give my all until the end of the season.

"There are a lot of clubs interested in me, but I haven't decided where I want to go yet. I am only focused on helping Caen stay up for now.

"I want to grow as a person and I want to join a club that will be playing in a big European competition, either the Europa League or Champions League.

"I want to discover what I am capable of and I feel now is the right time.

"The Spanish and English leagues appeal to me the most."

This just confirms my initial suspicion that we won't be in for him this summer.

    http://www.people.co.uk/sport/footb...itors-with-lucrative-demands-102039-23179856/

Wanted man Demba Ba is looking for a stunning £4million-a-year contract as he tries to stay in the Premier League.

The Senegalese striker has told West Ham he wants to quit on a free transfer but his demands are putting off EVERTON, NEWCASTLE and SUNDERLAND.

Ba has several agents working on his deal and the figures put to potential takers have come as a shock and delayed any move.

    Demand

Ba believes he has a release clause in his contract and has formally written to West Ham to tell them he wants to leave and become a free agent.

But the Londoners think they still have a claim on him and now the dispute is in the hands of lawyers who are studying the fine print of his deal, signed when he joined from German side Hoffenheim in the last transfer window.

West Ham want him to stay at Upton Park and think they can demand a fee if they cannot talk him into that. But that seems unlikely.

We've been linked with this bloke a few times in the past.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/194462/Stoke-Pulis-wants-to-Klepp-up/

STOKE are lining up a move for Norwegian ace Erik Huseklepp.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is eager to kick on after reaching the FA Cup Final and sealing Premier League safety with ease.

And he has pinpointed the Bari forward as a key part of his plans for the summer.

Huseklepp, 26, has been told he can leave the Serie A side after they were relegated.

    http://translate.google.com/transla...ier-league-a-l-assaut-de-charles-kabore_67792

At age 23, Charles Kabore achieved the most successful season of his career. Still, it still does not enjoy the status of a licensee within the team Marseille. What future holds for OM, particularly as two English clubs come from contact with the player's entourage.

"I played more matches than last season. A quarantine in all competitions, not bad even if I play every game. But this is not possible. Serve as the team's most important to me at the moment "there is little explained Charles Kabore . If it is visibly pleased with his status in the OM , the native of Bobodiolasso wants more and expects more tenure next season.

Status of replacing luxury that seems to stick to the skin of the former Libourne and he will have all the trouble to get out, especially as some observers are skeptical about its ability to reach a plateau at OM. Therefore, the idea of starting this summer will perhaps trot him in his head coming weeks, particularly as two English courses are about to make contact with the player's entourage.

According to our information, it would be Stoke City and Sunderland , two teams of mid-table Premier League, always fond of African talent. Under contract until 2015, Charles Kabore should not be cheapened by the OM, especially since it symbolizes one of the most successful recruitment at low prices Jose Anigo. Stay tuned.

I can't stand all this talk, speculation about xyz player/s myself. I just HOPE Tony P moves more quickly than he did last season which, wouldn't be that difficult would it?
Demba Ba, looks like he's shafted either way. West Ham are stuck with him. Seem's he want's out and I woul like to be a fly on the wall in their board room right now Sgt. <laugh><laugh>

Not 100% Potts, but i'm pretty sure Demba Ba will be leaving on a free due to clause in his contract. Assuming that is right, then he will be leaving, it's just a question of where he will go.

    http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...geting-summer-swoop-for-liverpool-fc-duo.html

Liverpool misfits David Ngog and Christian Poulsen could be in line for moves to Stoke.

The duo are widely expected to leave Anfield this summer as Kenny Dalglish and owners Fenway Sports Group prepare to usher in a new era, prompting Potters' boss Tony Pulis to assess the deadwood in a bid to add depth to his squad ahead of next season's Europa League quest

With on-loan striker John Carew unlikely to return to the Britannia Stadium next season, Pulis is eyeing Ngog to add to Stoke's attack after striking five goals in 11 Europa League outings.

But Liverpool's valuation of Ngog remains at £8million – a significant mark-up on the £1.5million he cost when arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2008 – which could see Stoke's interest wane.

By contrast, hopes of landing Denmark international Poulsen have increased with compatriot Thomas Sorensen offering a high recommendation of the midfielder to Pulis.

The 31-year-old arrived from Juventus last summer in a £4.5million move which saw him reunited with Roy Hodgson, Dalglish's predecessor, and the midfielder looks set to head the clear-out of fringe players currently clogging up the Reds' wage bill.

But Poulsen remains determined to fight for his future at Anfield and hopes to remain a part of Dalglish's plans in the forthcoming campaign

“I am sure Kenny is the right man to lead Liverpool to success in the future because in the short time he has been here, we have only gone one way - and I hope that will continue in the future,” he said.

"Of course, I would also like to play a little bit more - and that is my hope for the future."

If we sign Ngog for any amount of money, Pulis needs to be sectioned. I really don't rate Ngog at all. He is so utterly useless. Worst Premier League footballer i've ever seen.

Agree about N'gog Sgt he's useless and many Liverpool fans will tell you the same thing.
I would like us too press West Ham for Noble, smashing player and would suit us to a tee.
Also, keep an eye on the Sturrige situation with Chelsea/Bolton. I was wondering if, T.P. would
make a move, a permenent signing? Valuation? I'm not sure but he was outstanding for Bolton
    last season.
Others I would look at are...
Eagles from Burnley and of course Demba Ba <ok> but not for 4 million year Jesus he's good but
that's a heck of an amount IMO anyway. But, if it's doable go for it!

would you take Demba Ba after what happened Sgt?

I agree we should go for Noble, and I think we will, as Pulis is a known admirer of him, whether he would want to move up north is debatable. Etherington's persuasive nature may have to come into the transfer talks if we need to persuade Noble as they did play together at West Ham of course.

Sturridge would be class and he has said if he isn't guaranteed first team football next season, he will probably look to leave. However the only way I can see Chelsea agreeing to selling him to us would be if we offered Begovic in exchange. Something like £7m+ Begovic I reckon.

£4m a year works out at the best part £80k a week which is £40k too much in my opinion. This might not be Demba Ba's doing (the wage demands), his agent is known for being a bit of a devious sod apparently. I would happily take Demba Ba, on the right wages, but I just get the feeling that we won't be.

Thinking exactly the same thing about the exchange and how we can get Sturridge but Begovic has been sensational for us and replacing him will take some doing. Ideally Sturridge would be my first choice striker.

    http://www.teamtalk.com/bolton-wanderers/6967916/Canaries-set-to-land-Johnson?

Norwich City have reportedly beaten Wigan, Bolton, Stoke and West Brom in the race to sign Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson on a free transfer.

Johnson is out of contract at Elland Road and will join with the newly-promoted club on a free transfer this week.

The 24-year-old made 45 Championship appearances for the Whites last season as their play-off push fell just short.

Johnson is expected a sign a three-year contract for Paul Lambert's side.

The former Northampton and Brighton man will be another cog in the Norwich evolution following the capture of James Vaughan and with Millwall's Steve Morison due to join.

Johnson was linked with a number of other Premier League clubs but it would appear they have either failed to firm up their reported interest, or been unable to offer him the assurances over playing time that Norwich can.

    http://www.francefootball.fr/#!/news/2011/06/06/194800_hengbart-stoke-toulouse-ou-auxerre.html

Just back from his holidays in the United States and before returning to Las Vegas for a tournament WSOP poker, Cedric Hengbart the right side of Auxerre, was given a few minutes of his time francefootball.fr to discuss his future. Which will be played between England and France. (Photo News-Sports)
" Cedric, your name is often mentioned in England. What is it exactly?
It is true that I have a lot of contacts there, and I admit that the project really interests me. At 31, I'd like a new experience, a new challenge, another championship.

Do you have any serious contacts?
Yes, the most serious are Stoke City and Blackburn. But I have other proposals.
