Here's a question for you: In which order do these two comments come ? Now this is one of those questions where the answer is really simple, you just have to read back a few comments. Think hard about which one comes first because the answer is a clue to where you have made a massive tit out of yourself. I'm beginning to think you have enlisted HIAG's help with this one
The next few days will make a crucial impact on whether we can or not. If we sign nobody, then I think we'll have a real battle for fourth. If we manage to sign players like Di Maria and Benzema and add some steel to our MF, then I think we can challenge Chelsea, Utd and City for the top positions.
That draw last night was good for us as Piskie stated. If we beat Tottenham this week and add some new players we are right back in the mix. It's early days but psychologically it's important not to fall of the pace early. As it stands, no team looks like they're gonna run away with the league this season... But the transfer window has yet to close...
Piskie ... You typed and posted your answer as i was typing my response...therefore there was a cross over...my responses were jokes...that's why i used references to hiag being a lawyer and called you a cad ...to imply i am thick is a little sad but fair enough...the joke was at me by me...god knows why the net makes people so snidey but hey ho
It's not my fault you can't keep up and no hard feelings ... any mention of HIAG and it's instantly an obvious piss take
I thought Chelsea and Utd looked distinctly average last night. With City losing to Swansea too, the league looks like it could be wide open this season. The Spuds and Pool have started well, albeit spurs getting a bit lucky with two questionable pens, but they've got the points on the board. A huge factor in where this title ends up will be decided in the next few days. Whoever manages to sign the players that will make the difference for their team is going to have a big advantage. If Rooney goes to Chelsea, then I think Utd can kiss goodbye to any hopes of winning the league. If we sign one of Di Maria, Ozil or Benzema, then I think it will give us a good chance of being in the mix. If the Spuds do lose Bale, then even given that Soldado and Paulinho look like decent acquisitions, they will have lost the special factor that got them through the games that they would otherwise have drawn or lost. If Liverpool lose Suarez, then they will be battling it out for a Europey spot. So much can change in the next few days.
Massive game for both teams but a bit more for us. We're at home and have yet to get any player reinforcements in. The pressure is already increasing on Wenger and should we lose, it will get ramped up. But ultimately, will the NLD result affect our deals in the transfer window? I think it will to a certain degree. This is one scenario that I didn't want to happen.
Bale not reporting into Spurs training ground. He's definitely off. Levy's just delaying the inevitable
Can't agree more, neither side wanted to win but in fairness to us we've played 3 in 8 days so United should have been the fresher team and at home taken more of the initiative. Despite being fully fit Moyes left his most creative player on the bench and took off a striker for a midfielder.
That's classic Maureen though isn't it ? Grinding out boring results. In the days of Fergie a O-O would have been a result at OT, but to be honest I thought Utd were there for the taking last night if you'd had shown a bit more fight going forward.
Overall, a good result for Chelsea, 3 games including away at OT under their belts. Unbeaten, which will give them confidence, and still potential for strengthening the squad before the window shuts.
So much for bale not being that type of player, most spurs fans were saying he was different to the others and would not sulk or force a move. Seems he is the same as every other player
One thing I've learned as an Arsenal fan is that there is no such thing as loyalty to a club in football. A player is only loyal to his ambition/pay cheque.
Don't understand why people are criticising Chelsea's tactics away at Utd... We'll go there and try to play football and get brushed aside like we always do, they got themselves a point
