Mourinho sent out a team with a Barca formation but they played like a team looking to snatch a point, which, to be fair they did. Revolutionary. Roman will be ecstatic.
They looked so much more fluent under Rafa. Mourinho has lots of good players, that don't play as a team. Probably only going to get worse as he'll struggle keeping everyone happy....
That's why it would have been so funny Gotta give credit to Chelsea and Mourinho. No one plays for a draw with quite as much conviction as they do...
Lukaku's gotta wonder what he needs to do to get a game. Mourinho just doesn't seem to trust him at all, which is bizarre from the man who depended on Drogba so much. I wonder what Mata will think after we dominated possession all game, Chelsea misplaced so many passes and still kept their best passer sitting on the bench. **** the Rooney - Mata swap deal, let's just bid for Mata
I think we should put a cheeky bid in, might fancy a move to the champions after being relegated to the bench.
Very dull, but i think it's a good point. We looked better, but neither side created enough chances to deserve the win.
Thought we were the better side, anyway move on we need a big performance at Anfield now as we haven't played well there in a long time
fkn hell .. one of worst match I ever watched, Jose is like someone who bought a ferrari and try to use it in a 20km/h speed zone .. i can't believe with all the technical players Chelsea having upfront, they were forced to defend most of the match .. shocking ..but same old boring chelsea so can't say am not surprised
I'm failing to understand what some Chelsea fans are trying to put across. Are they saying we played our best and was in 3rd gear, but Chelsea played really poor and was barely biting the clutch yet they still got a point. They can't accept how shocking they were and are not living up to the hype they set themselves before the season started and getting by on bad reffing decisions.
honest GOD, what is the point of signing players like willian, when you force them to defend so deep ? am not sure Abra had that in his mind when spending all those millions , I've seen lower division clubs being more adventures in OT with less quality players, and you wonder why they struggled in first 2 matches relying on ref help to save the match for them .. so sad to watch with all the attacking talents they have
I think both managers would have been happy with a point. Mourinho set out to get a point by playing for a draw. No strikers. DULL DULL play, with Mata on the bench. Moyes, after complaining about the hardest sequence of matches to a start of a season, will not have wanted a defeat in his first match at OT. For him, 4 out of 6 is so far so good. A defeat will have been worse for him than for Jose. In the end neither deserved to win tye three points. I had been fearing for Moyes and I think that had Chelsea started with a striker and Mata, they could have won the 3 points. Neither looked champions elect. But then it is only 2nd round.
correct and the referee for the third match running was on your side...Definite handball and pen by Lampard
