    Take your pick:
    Hogan
    Cesar
    Diakite
    Mbia
    Traore
    Barton
    Young

Only live gossip is Hogan, so I'll go for him.

Seville obviously didn't see the crossbar challenge, Mbia wouldn't make a Benidorm Pub XI on that effort...

last year of his contract so basically given a free transfer with no pay off. not a bad deal considering he's the worst footballer in the world

What did we pay for him? Was he only on a 2 year contract?

Fair point only good money I'd pay is to wave him goodbye at the airport.

disagree, he'd have simply been released if that was the case, to me this is proof we are still paying him or it would have been a permanent transfer.

as I said before, we needed to let someone rot in the reserves as its now cost us far more paying these players not to play for us, I'd bet that we will end up paying Cesar too.

How is that proof we are paying a % of his wage still? As ever, he's on far more than he's worth and no club will be stupid enough to pay him what he's on over a three or four year contract and the player won't accept a measly £2m a year. It's the only situation that will ever suit all parties.

Bit hard that isn't it! He was all right overall - he made a huge contribution to Goal of the PL last season, as well kitting out a number of our very happy young fans.

Doesn't really cover for his complete idiocy and inability to defend.

I thought he was OK defensively - brave, energetic, good stamina, reasonable anticipation. I thought it was going forward he was crap: poor passing, worse shooting, no intuition about what his team-mates might expect.
