Simple question : where do you think we will get our first points of the season ? Hopefully in the next 4 games ?
I want 7 points from our next 3 games. I think we are well capable of that and would leave us on 7 points from 5 games....which would be bang on course for a mid table finish. I see us winning the 2 away games and drawing with Liverpool. If we only manage a draw away at West Brom I can see us going out all guns blazing at home to Liverpool for the 3 points. Should be a good game that one.
Hugely disagree there Dai. I class points against Utd and Spurs away as bonus points. Our season in terms of getting points start at the Hawthornes and I expect us to aim play for 3 points there
spurs were there for the taking yesterday valley and if we had put out the same side as we do against nobody sides in europe we may have got something...fans are getting carried away because we scored 10 goals in europe but these were poor sides and its more important that we play our strongest in the premiership and not in europe...I can't see us winning until laudrup sorts his team selection and tactics out which will end up very difficult getting out of the bottom three all season as qpr found out...
Baggies away should see us getting off the mark imo, hopefully with a win. With Anelka out they will have trouble scoring goals this season and are there for the taking. As a side note, Dai has a point in one sense. Nobody expected any points from our first two games but whereas we were undone with a few fabulous finishes v Man U I thought Spurs were pretty awful yesterday - but we were worse.
Based on previous games against them then I agree to a certain extent ,the Utd game was where I felt that we were good for a least a draw ,the spurs game possibly a draw but a win highly unlikely looking at the squad that AVB has built & away from home .
i have not bet anything on swansea since laudrup joined us...thank god i never..I would be a few quid up for a couple of months and would have lost a shed full since..
I personally think that Laudrup didn't really expect to take much from our first two games and made getting into Europa group stages a priority! A clean sheet Thursday then we will hit the ground running with a win at WBA! I got to say that I am disappointed at two losses but not worried. The only difference between us and spurs was the Ref Saturday, Shots on and possession was equal. And man u score flattered them.
well he bloody should expect something from both games after all the talking he done for weeks. losing a good game is acceptable but leaving our best players on the bench is not. European games is fantastic but the premiership must come first...and he never did that with spurs..
