There is now only a week left of the transfer window and with rumours about Michael Bradley and Ki Yueng-Sung rumbling on, Sunderland's search for a new midfielder has seemingly stepped up a gear. Surprisingly however, it's not for Bradley or Ki that Sunderland have made a move for, with reports out of Italy from Sport Mediaset suggesting Sunderland have agreed a deal with Inter Milan for Serbian midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic. The report says that the deal is for a season long loan with a view to a permanent transfer, however it's believed the player himself wants to take time before agreeing to the transfer as there is a possibility of an offer from Everton, which would only happen if they sell Marouane Fellaini. Kuzmanovic is a 25-year-old midfielder, who only signed for Inter in January but that move hasn't worked out and he has rumoured to be on the move all summer, with ourselves, Aston Villa and West Ham all linked. He had a highly successful spell in the Bundesliga with VfB Stuttgart before earning the move to Inter Milan. He is a creative central midfielder, who can also play out wide, notable for his passing and set pieces and at 6'1" fits the physical presence Di Canio has been wanting in the middle of the pitch.
sounds good. times running out now so we need to get a few guys in but make sure they are the right guys for the job not just last ditch signings cos were running out of time
Sounds like a no goer if ever I read one. Loan, but waiting for Everton & only signed for inter in January????
If we sign him I reckon we'll sign another cm as well as a lb So 3 new signings imo This bloke for physical presence Ki for creativity De Ceglie for lb Those bastards Everton can't take both of our cm targets!
Certainly hope it is a loan with option to buy. Always worries me when players can't get in their present team. IF he was any good he would be playing.
People do seem to be forgetting that the majority of our signings have either european, champions league or international experience like Or a blend of the three
Not even close to the same situation mate. We saw how good Rose was all last season week in week out.
true but i remember a lot of people asking why we signed him in the first place when we got him. he then went on to show he was total class. just cos he's not playing doesnt make him ****e. how many of our first team would get in the inter team?
