I am not long got back from London after electing to stay there for the week following our promotion to the Premier League and I must say wow. Now that's a capital city, not what you claim is up the road!! Just saying

What frustrates me is that the Welsh Assembly Government is, in their vein attempts to turn Cardiff into an equally grand and significant city is systematically starving the rest of Wales of investment and public spending.

My only hope is that Swansea's success on the pitch will bring in private sector investment to the city that will circumvent Cardiff.

im sure some on here dont understand that this post is aimed at sam and the cardiff fans who agreed with him at the time and not to certain cardiff fans who knew sam was talking out of his arse. we jacks have the right to come on here and brag how very wrong he was and rub the salt deep into his utter statement that tried to belittle us. serve his right his reminder as we jacks never forget is well deserved.....

I have to agree with Ivor here, and I have refrained from gloating at Cardiff's plight, Yes I can Wum big time but only in response to provocation, Ivor is spot on, there are some top posters on the Cardiff board, some Ivor has mentioned, and I would like to point out that the Bluebirds have had a torrid time from some QPR boys, on here the other week, which I found quite sad, with all they're anti-Welsh thrown in as well, so give them a break lads, to lick they're wounds, they'll bounce back loud and proud, would love to see both Welsh teams in the Prem, that would make the Derby something really special, the whole world would saver!!..............

DPJ, can I get 1 joke off... Please

I met a fairy today who said she could grant me a wish

'I want to live forever' I said
'Sorry' she said 'I can't grant those sort of wishes'
'Fine' I say, 'I'll die when Cardiff get to the Premier League'

    Sorry, that is all

    Cardiff a laughing stock...yeah ok.....

Anyway...Sam is not Cardiff and most fans despise him...so your post hardly upsets Cardiff fans...just a bit sad that what someone said 11 years ago is that important or even relevant to you. As for stadiums, achievements...well I think there are arguments that can be made either way. Well done on getting promoted and i am glad the majority of you are enjoying that moment, though some can't seem to enjoy it as much due to some inability to focus on their own clubs.

    Hope you stay up!!

Siam, I don't think anyone really means Cardiff are a laughing stock. At the end of the day, you are our fierce rivals, but your also our fellow countrymen. Now that we in different leagues, I can shout for you to also get up here.
The Sam part has been brought up because it is relevant. Relevant in the fact that he took the piss out of us and said we'd never get anywhere. This is not a dig at CCFC, more of a dig at him,m as a person, as he is a tosspot.

All the best for next year Bluebirds.

The Premier League is a world away from what the old division one used to be like. Sounds like maybe you don't know your football history.

I'm didn't say that at all. The quality in the Premiership is now much higher than it was and the gulf between Premier League and Championship is much bigger. It takes a lot more to get the the Premier League now (and stay there) than it did in the pre-Premier League days. More money, TV, etc has attracted much better players, especially from abroad. It is now one of the best League's in the world. It wasn't like that in the old days.

i think your green with envy at the moment aber, of course the prem is far better that the old league one, its also the hardest league to play in according to many that would give their right arm to play in. voted the best league in the world..

aber - why would so many of the world's top players want to play in the premier league if it wasn't any good. agree that the spanish league is also high quality. It might even be better. But my point, which you seem to have missed, is that the premier league has more quality players and is much harder to compete in and even get to than the old division one. this is my last comment on the subject. if you don't agree, fair enough.

Aber - You state we hate you enough to sing song's about you......Can I remind you that Cardiff seemed to sing ALOT of anti Swansea song at the Liberty this year, oh, and last year, ooh, and the year before. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other fella.

From your statements, it really does appear that your still reeling from the fact your biggest rivals got to the PL before you?

How can you honestly say the Pl is no good? Some of the best player's to have ever graced a football pitch have played here, with alot modern footballers looking for the switch over here. I saw alot of gutted Cardiff fans posts last year when Blackpool beat you, they seemed to think it was the end of the world that they failed to get promotion, again. Maybe you see it differently from the thousands of others, eh?

Maybe Cardiff should just give up, and finish mid table every year. That way they miss out on the ****e PL league and don't have to spend a fortune on players in order to get to a worst league?

Or maybe you should simply swallow your pride, and say that we, Swansea, made it before you, and that your will back your players fully next year in order to push them over the finishing line and join us.

Not a dig at you, or Cardiff, just an observation mate.

Aber - I can see where your coming from regarding the money etc, but not all player are like that there. So I suppose there is an argument in each corner with that one.

Sadly, I won't be sat next to one of these plastics, as they got there before me in getting a ticket. But as they say, **** happens. I'll support the boys a damn sight better from a pub than any of these new fans, tht's for sure.

I wonder if it's occurred to anyone that the increase in ST sales may be because the chances of walking in on the day will be non existant and some (not all ) have put them selves in debt just to gaurantee a seat next season. For the foreseeable future this is the price of success

And one other point if some posters don't like the subject heading then don't read the thread, try contributing on other message boards and see the response you'll get if the subject was negative about SCFC and you complained .

I don't think there's much hope of that. There are many towns and cities that have PL football teams that are complete dumps. The private sector doesn't invest in places just because they have a PL football team. It will obviously raise Swansea's profile and bring in some investment, but Swansea will still be Swansea. In other words, what most people see (the city centre) will still be a complete dump because the council are intent on destroying it. and what's worse is that the people of Swansea don't seem to care.

I'm glad that at least one person understood my post. Sam made a stupid comment and it's now made Cardiff look stupid. The stupid comments from some Swans fans may well make them/us look stupid one day as well. But some of it is just banter, so don't take it too seriously.

But I do think that some (many?) Cardiff fans think the same way as fans from other 'big' teams. They seem to feel that because they are a 'big' club then they are also a better club. It seems like they think they can win promotions without putting too much effort in. Bigger isn't always better. And the bigger you are the harder you fall.

Yes, Cardiff is the capital of Wales, but what does that have to do with football? A capital city is just an administrative centre. Capital cities aren't always great cities. New York is probably the greatest city in the world, but I don't think the people of New York worry about not being the capital of the USA.

There are more than two Welsh teams. Have you forgotten about Newport and Wrexham? And the others/

LOL. You are taking my post far too seriously. I read it in the EP and it made me laugh, so I posted it here. Just a bit of light-hearted fun. But that's almost impossible with many football fans. They take things far too seriously.

You are taking my post far too seriously. I read it in the Evening Post and it made me laugh. So I posted it here, as I thought it might make others laugh as well. It's a bit of banter and makes life a more fun. If you can't take a bit of banter, then don't hang around football forums. Join a physics forum instead.
