For the price of Gareth Bale you can buy: 3 Ronaldinhos 2,180,000 copies of FIFA PSG in 2012 46,612 Spurs season tickets 524 trips to space
There has to be something in it for Luis too. A high buyout clause doesn't mean he wont be sold for less, it just means the dont have to sell. However, why would Luis sign a contract with a £60m release clause considering the highest bid this summer was £40,000,001? The only way that happens is with a payrise. Alternatively, don't give him a payrise but compremise on the clause. Make it £45m to a none English club after May 2014. We get his services for a season which improves our top four chances and at the end of it, he doesn't join a rival. If we somehow get top four, he may chose to stay. Additional thought; two release clause amount depending on us making top four???
You are wrong! You have posted a number of team achievements anf forwarded them as proof of the greatness of 1 team member. Even within LFC I can show you at least 1 individual who had a European Cup Winners medal who even the best of supporter thought was a joke. In the pantheon of defenders Desailly lags a long way down the list!
Ideally you want some kind of date that the clause expires on (don't want a club to match it 2 days before the window closes etc) I guess the bonus from Suarez side would be there is a written clause this time that we must accept the offer which is better than what he currently has. So many different things to take into consideration though. I really hope we make the CL this year then sell him off to someone else for £50mil. Would be a perfect scenario then.
I think I've found the perfect player for us. He's currently without a club so wouldn't cost anything in terms of a fee and was a fans favourite at the time. Welcome home Igor
But pointless if we insist on said clause being £60m+ judging by this summer's activities. As I said above, having a release clause of £60m doesn't mean that we can only sell him for that. Its means we have no choice if someone offers it. If no club offers more than £40m (or £40,000,001; when do we stop doing this? ) and Suarez continues to kick up a fuss about wanting to move, surely we would eventually settle for something less? Be interesting to see if the contract is longer than the remaining three years too
I'd assume it must be longer length or there really would be nothing in it for us? At the moment LFC hold all the cards as he's under contract for 3 years, with no kind of release clause. If we were to give him a release clause in his contract there must be something extra in it for us like a longer deal meaning he can't hold on for another year and force us to sell at a reduce fee because he only has 1 year on the contract left. And the way they negotiated the last contract, wouldn't put it past them agreeing to a ridiculously high release clause
Llajic was left out of Fiorentina's squad for the match today fuelling speculation he could be on the move. Us & spurs have been linked with him.
Michael Jordan, he will be the grandson of Apollo Creed and Rocky ( Sly stallone) will be the trainer. So whta is new with anything? where did the moses one come from? And how the **** is mata not playing!!!!
Just had a quick read through the manure board about their opinion of last nights sorry excuse of a football match and quite a few of them are talking about Sundays match with some trepidation, which surprised me. I really feel that if we play as we did against stoke then we have a great chance of winning providing we take what chances come our way. Did anyone else think gollum look totally clueless stood on the touch line last night. He looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. I know the chavs were bloody awful but he didn't seem to have any ideas to break them down. As for the chavs ,well rafa had them playing a damn sight better than from what I have seen in their first two games. Why mata wasn't playing is beyond me. Their new signings looked very average and as for Torres, he's so bad that I almost feel sorry for him....almost!
To sum up the game: Chelsea - Mourinho adopted his usual defensive, solid, negative tactics and earn at least a point. Man Utd - didn't have the creativity or quality to break them down. Despite them winning comfortably against Swansea, Swans played decent football with Man Utd soaking up the pressure until RVP scored out of nothing. I get the feeling that Moyes is relying heavily on Rooney and RVP to produce something out of nothing to win matches. Their midfield is not that great and Fergie did wonders with his squad.
Lol. Either way, I don't see Man Utd creating a lot, especially under Moyes - that is unless RVP and Rooney come up with something special out of nothing which they are more than capable of doing.
agree will suit them better to play us as we wont play for a draw, although Chelsea was away from home to be fair.
Our second half performance against Villa showed that we can defend and absorb pressure. Of course, MUFC have the quality in RVP and Rooney but I think we'll give them a good game. In addition, Swansea lack the quality up front to turn their dominance and possession into goals. We have Sturridge and Coutinho ...
