be nice if Real got stitched over the Bale saga as they would be desperate for a marque signing and we may get £60 mill out of them for Suarez lol. don't believe the bollocks about not having time, we had that amount of money pretty sure Brendan could get players in quick enough,
I think real value suarez at 35mil frankly marca put that out when he mouthed off originally. Thats where that lower bid stuff comes from. had real bid they would have published the hell out of it to get us uner pressure... i don't think there was a bid. new contract is also a bit of a rumour going round which doesn't do anything for us.
Well, the guy is normally right. He's called several transfers over the years well in advance of the papers getting wind of it so what he says is usually irrelevant of what they say and not just more rumors. He's one of the few internet 'sources' I remotely trust to be accurate.
Maybe we should put that we aren't willing to negotiate with English speakers and then claim to not speak any other language
I'm not doubting that this guy has contacts. I'm certainly not doubting you in any way. However, just think about this for one second. Suarez and LFC have both suffered because of a misunderstanding regrading contractual clauses and the confidentiality that should be attached to them. I therefore really doubt that they would be leaking details of any new conttract that was being offered. That's the bit of this 'news' that does not ring right to me.
His contacts are the players (as far as I know) and just like all organisations, employees will talk to eachother. Hell, even Rooney confided in Gerrard on international duty and they're not even in the same club! It's not like he knows specifics, just that there'll be a contract with a release clause.
IF there is to be a new contract then you can be certain that there will be some contractual arrangement on transfers, the details of which have been expressly agreed between the club, the player and his agent. However, after this Summer's shenanigans the details of that clause will be a closely guarded secret.

I read something earlier about Suarez signing a new contract this week and Phil Thompson said on Sat that that was the word around the club. If it does happen it will probably have a proper buy out clause that suits both sides.
So is Suarez signing a new contract or is Real about to spend even more money or did they spunk it all on Bale?
A new contract clarifying the release clause details (and hopefully adding it must not be a rival) is fine so long as he doesn't get a payrise too #rooneyesque
I can't see the point in offering him a new contract if we don't make it worth out while. At the moment, the ball is firmly in our court in that he has 3 years left, and we have no obligation to sell no matter what is issued. The only way we'd offer a new one is if there was something in it for us like a big buy out clause (£60mil+) and it excluded certain teams. Otherwise we might as well just keep him on his current one and see what offers come in for him next summer.
