ok done for the week talk to you guys on the weekend.... if you are lucky well might sneak on for the match on tuesday
Man Utd would make sense but there is no way they would pay that amount of money out on one player nowadays. More likely Chelsea IMO. They've been after Rooney all summer for the CF/AM role, Bale can play there too (as can Mata but...) I don't think it will be Man City but if it is then that would push them up another level IMO
Yeah, someone posted a the video on the Notts County matchday thread. He states that we haven't bid for Bale as we don't have that much money. #FSGout
After jokingly being asked if we were the rival club bidding for Bale, his words are "I can categorically state that its not us, we don't have that money"
Absolute nightmare with that shout. Unbelievable actually. Bale has signed for 133 million dollars ( not sure what that is in pounds). That is also unbelievable.
There's a bloke called 'Macca' who does the rounds on a few other footballing sites, usually posts very reliable info about LFC and seems genuinely 'in the know' through first team player links. Latest from him is that Suarez is set to sign a new contract (no idea if higher wages or not) with a release clause (I would assume it comes into effect next summer though not sure on the amount). Basically, we get guarantees that he'll perform to his best for a season (otherwise no one would be willing to pay the fee) and we guarantee he can leave next summer to any bidding club of his choice. He also claims that we rejected a bid from Real which was lower than what Arsenal offered. I'd expect another bid from Real this week still though, always said they'll bid in the last week. Thoughts?
Hope so too, but unfortunately he's not quite privvy to the finer details... You'd like to think that after statements this summer about not wanting to sell to a rival, we'd push through something like that, even if it meant a slightly lower release fee for foreign clubs.
