I have been since kick off.. Marko don't get me wrong, I want us to win every game, it's just I've been Leeds United for 42 years now and I've witnessed the good the bad and the robbery, so I#m always waiting for that kick the knackers...
We all are! All in it together, through ups and downs! I reckon this unbeaten run could go on well into October and beyond personally
Love your positivity Marko, hope so. We,ve played a few teams that we maybe could have lost to, but we got the points. Marching on together..
The fans don't give a flying **** aslong as we win occasionally. BM could get the players to pick up the ball between their knees and hopscotch it into the back of the net and no one would care if it got us 3 points. Problem with last season's wasn't that we played hoofball, it was that we was ****e at it...why? Warnock thought Becchio (good with his head) = Hoof it up to him and he'll get it in. Wrong a) cos Becchio was a lazy twat b) cos he couldn't run for ****e c) cos even if he could run he wouldn't be arsed. This season we've got some good height in the side and some pace so when we do hoof it up there can be some good results from it. Personally I quite like the way BM has set up the team (diamond formation with McCormack playing the no.10 at the top controlling the game, passing it about ect) however if bringing on Smith and hoofing it up can chance 1 point to 3 points (like the Brighton game) i'm all for it. Warnock's plan B was hoofball (which we wasn't very good at, see above) and his plan A usually failed within the first 20 mins of the match so the rest of the match was watching Becchio try to head it on to an imaginary player (forgot Becks had left???) or him try to do some Messi-esquire him v 4 defenders while the rest of the team was jogging to the half way line run which was worth it's gold in comedy value.
I'd accept 800k for White. He hasn't made an improvement since he first broke into the team. He's unfit to play left back (can't tackle, can't mark ect) and he's unfit to play left wing (can't or won't cross, can't shoot apart from the fluke Everton goal) all he can do is run very fast with the occasitional short pass when he finds himself out of depth (but we've got Poleon and Varney for that). So what's the point in keeping him? Grab what we can while other teams still think he's an 'exciting young talent' and get a decent footballer in.
Totally agree strike whilst the irons hot Ince in his interview said he needed more bodies so lets have a deal
He doesn't play, doesn't feature in the 18 man squad either. Surely it's best to cash in and maybe even use some of his salary to up Ross's a bit on his new deal.
According to McDermott, White wants to fight for his place at Leeds, and doesn't want to leave, so really, he doesn't have to go anywhere if he doesn't want to, as he has a contract that still has a couple of years to run at least.
Got the impression that the player doesn't want to leave but McDermott is willing to let him go. Think it's best for all parties involved if he moves on, the fresh start and regular game time in a regular position might be what aidy needs
I agree. Jack Charlton once said, what's the point in passing the ball 35 times to get into the oppositions box, when one pass will do.
Rowe was available for £400k, wanted to join Leeds but according to Barry Fry we didn't have the cash. Think that ship has sailed, McD wants a winger and will sell White to fund one.
Why do you think it has sailed? Not uncommon for a player to join a club awhile after it was initially reported it was interested in him.
Cant see your logic Billy Posh need to sell him sometime soon as his value is getting less as each day passes we need a winger he fits the bill .If we get 500k for White then Rowe can be bought
Sorry, isn't Rowe a centre mid? Didn't think he was a winger. Also, in the meantime Posh sold Gayle for £6m so can keep Rowe to get them back to Champs. Surely that is more important than £400k? It's just that when Leeds initially went in for him and offered around £250k, McD made it public that he wanted Rowe. Fry then made it public the lad had chosen Leeds, but their valuation of £400k wasn't being met. Let's see what happens, but it doesn't seem on the cards. Feel McD has moved on to someone else, could be Rowe was the one with the silly wage demands, or his club is the one that doesn't want to sell anymore.
Billy, Rowe is a wide player. Also I thought it was pretty well known that Greer was the one the club didn't want to sell but the agent said he was for sale and wanted to come to Leeds
So there you have it Billy hes a wide boy and wants to come to Leeds once we sell white we can pull in Tommy
Rowe's played LB, LM and CM for Posh, he's just like a much, much better version of Pugh. I doubt we'll be getting him though - the rumours about him being available for 400k are ridiculous, Posh won't sell him for anything less than 7 figures. If he stays, they'll probably get promoted and the money they make from promotion will exceed that which they'd make from selling him.
He's in his last year there though and he doesn't intend on signing a new contract. What I don't get is, if he is so good and 400k is such a bargain there are a lot of teams in the champ that need wide players... why has no one else bothered?
