It is highly unlikely that Chelsea are seeking to get rid of the player. He may however have been told that he is not considered as 1st choice by Mourinho. However, I'm getting fed up with people repeating that we've got no money. When you are publically bidding for players at over £25M + wages then you do have money available. Matta is a good player but he's not got that superstar status and his fee would be lower than Bales and say Suarez. Willian appears to have gone for around £30M so Mata's value will probably be linked to that. OK no CL football but would that worry Mata for 1 year? It's not as though he's not going to be 'seen' as he would be performing in the Prem week in and week out. So, I don't think it will happen but you can't just dismiss the possibilty.
Premier League clubs are circling Marseille for winger Andre Ayew. The Ghana international is a target for Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham, says L'Equipe. Ayew's brother, Jordan, also on OM's books, is wanted by West Bromwich Albion.

Joe Allen won the welsh player of the year not too long ago! Honestly, I really don't rate this guy and he has never once impressed me.. Marsielle won't even play him in his correct position, he's wants to play up top doesn't he?
Did you just compare Wales to the entire continent of Africa with players like Drogba, Eto'o, Mikel, Essien, etc???? I don't think he ever played up top or showed that interest? I always thought he played out wide ( left) and liked to start wide then drift in.
I don't normally pay attention to these sorts of awards but you can't compare the Welsh award to the African one, especially when you had the likes of Drogba, Essien, Eto'o, etc
I think it could be good business and it seems he is looking for a fresh start. Also helped Marseille win the league a few years back and the last time they won the league was I think 92? He would know all to well of that weight that we hold right now too. EDIT: That team had his dad Abedi Pele and the great Desailly as well.
No I'm saying Allen was voted ahead of Bale (last Summer), who is now being sold for a world record transfer fee. And the BBC voted it, it's hardly the most prestigious award Like I said, I can only go of what I've seen, and the truth is that I haven't seen anything remotely impressive. He's big and fast and good in the air, there are far better options out there in my humble opinion!
I think that is the problem though, there are better options but can we get them? I think Ayew would definetly come over and help the team immediately. Atsu has been named but are we really after him? Who else would come that ticks the boxes for that LW position?
That's for the scouts to decide I guess, if they think Ayew is the right player then so be it, I'll still support him and I'm happy to be proved wrong. Atsu again I'm not keen on, there were rumours he was available for £3m. Personally I want us to get Moses, he's wasted at Chelsea.
