Can't see him going there though unless Chelsea tell him he's surplus to requirements, which I really can't see.

 

Mourinho has picked a Chelsea team without a recognised striker, Mata still fails to make starting line up, that must tell him something??

 

I think Mata's more likely to go to United.

Well he's not a striker so I'm not sure what that would be! Supposedly he's not fully fit yet after playing in the confed cup and so on. I just can't quite believe Mourinho doesn't fancy him, think the papers are adding 2 and 2 and getting 5 again.

 

My guess would also be that Mata is unfit. Mata is one of the most creative players in the EPL and certainly a better player than De Bruyne and Schurrle. Both are good players but Mata is just class. Only a Mata of time before he is back in the team. (Sorry had to say it)

 

The only thing is that Jose, with the addition of Willian, now has 6 players in the 'Gaston' position, so something has to give, surely? It's hard enough for a lot of people on here to cope with one Gaston, let alone 6!

 

They'll go with a false 9, a pseudo 11, a bogus 8, specious 7, ersatz 6 and a fallacious 5.

 

I really don't see the point in Chelsea buying Willian. They already have countless other players in that role like you said. Of those I only rate Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Schurlle. Haven't seen enough of Willian, de bryune or van Ginkel to judge but seems strange buying them.

 

Can't see Bale going anywhere except Real . He wants to go there end of IMHO . I would prefer him to stay in the EPL though .

 

Victor Moses and Demba Ba not even in the match day squads. If Saints are monitoring the market then lil Vic is the one for me.

 

Van Ginkel plays as one of the central two, but I agree, it's odd and Mata's exclusion is difficult to get my head around.
