"source, cant find anything on that" Seems to be SSN/Skybet collusion (again) . But it has comedy value on several levels (Chelsky, Madrid etc) .
No offence but The RDBD was saying that tongue in cheek, you must be abit wet behind the ears to actually use quotes from players saying they enjoyed watching us play, to seriously think that means they want to play for us. When we had Redknapp, we where an enjoyable team to watch, we had exciting players, VDV, Modric, Bale etc, heck even bastian schweinsteiger said he enjoyed watching us play, but would be sign for us? No....well unless he was at the end of his career and wanted to try something different. Players like Rooney (at his age and stage of his career) aren't after a new exciting challenge at a club which fights for 4th, they want a new exciting challenge at a club which fights for the title or challengers for the champions league title. The only chance we have of signing world class players, are players like VDV or Sniejder, players which have been unhappy abroad and need a new challenge. Domestic players like Rooney would not even consider us.
this is taken from SC, so Boss is going to kill me, but I thought it was worth sharing: Had a long chat last night, this is from both the footballing and business side of the club so shouldn't be conflicting stuff. Bale: No deal as of last night, We have had discussions with Real, but Levy has set a price and indicated what type of schedule for payments would be required, its up to Madrid if thye can come up with it. Expectation from the club that Bale will be in training tomorrow. (My £50 hasn't left my pocket yet) Willian: He really wanted us but the pressure between the the 2 Russians owners is immense, AVB had conversations with him to try and pursuade him to still come, to be honest there was still a tiny bit of hope he might turn Chelski down as papaers still have not been finalised, but highly unlikely. Lamela: We are confident this will get done by midweek, but some nervousness around the club, because of Willian. Chiriches; Should be done by Thursday. Other signings: Possibly 2 more on top of La la and Vlad, 1 is a striker. we have shown interest in Rebic and 2 or 3 others. Outgoings: There are only a few safe from the exit and there has been more than Cardiffs interest in Lennon and enquiries for Defoe from England and abroad for Ade. A number of loans are being worked on for the younger players. I have been given names for the possible incoming apart from Rebic, but the club is royally pissed off so too sensitive tp ost in here, but they are quality Update 1: Forgot to say it was AVB's idea for Bale to go away for a few days to think things through, but apparentlyBarnett informed the world where he was going. The club is very pissed with Barnett. This will not run pass Saturday the club want this sorted one way or the other before NLD. Update 2: the budget is not dependent on Bale going, but expect a stellar signing if he goes "Levy style". There are also a lot of noise about the club re a stadium announcement September/October"
LOL Its actually good you posted that, as I posted the other day we where set to sign "that Romanian defender" after he hass featured for Steua in their CL playoff and Lamela is in advanced talks. All info taken from the Telegraph and Independent. Where do SC ITK get their info from? Newsnow and then pick a source !
Wrote that on my phone and realise it may come across wrong. Wasn't saying I do think he'll join but my point was players move for mutliple reasons. I appreciate it is highly unlikely but did anyone expect Osvaldo to go to Southampton? VDV to come to us? Tevez to go to West Ham? Falcao to go to Monaco? If and it's a big IF - Rooney is up for more than just CL or money, we would be a very interesting prospect. My point was more - why not try and sign him? If he says no he says no. There are players out there who are interested in more than CL and Money!
when we're not interested in a player, I've seen AVB regularly say, "no, that's not true". But he hasn't denied hulk. he's done the usual "he's not our player". - when he says that, (or any manager says that) it usually means that something is going on.....
Translating to decent Spurs fan speak ... If Bale stays and Lamela is incoming, ENIC have probably injected cash into Spurs. Update 1 : The game hates football agents with a vengeance. <move along> Update 2 : New WHL. Sainsburys are due to open that superstore around October. Foundations excavation work for new WHL was allegedly planned to start after then, and the work funded from the first payment Sainsburys make.
Listen Jam, I don't have a problem with you but you do rub people up the wrong way with comments like naive etc, I mean just because I don't believe Rooney wouldn't sign for us, doesn't mean I don't believe good players won't sign for us. Just look at some of the players we have signed? VDV, Modric, Berba, Jurgen, Ginola......but theres a theme there...Foriegn, and usually either near the end of their career or still developing, When did we last sign a great domestic player at their peak? Andy Reid LOL we sign domestic players like Bale when they are young. I would Love to have Rooney but players like Rooney just wouldn't move to us, not because we're some crap club, but simply because we can't offer them what they want.
Adam suter is saying that Lamela is flying in this evening. ....sounds more than capable of replacing bale. - he can fly FFS!!
BBC are usually right with their info, but does seem highly unlikely, surely this is just us trying to get Madrid to up their offer.
There's no way they'd sell us Mata, and especially not after the Modric saga. IF that happened, the joke would be on chelsea. Mata is an amazing player who was easily in the top 3 prem players of last season. signing Willian to sell Mata to us If only!!
Plus would Levy really go crawling to the chavs, abit embarrassing if we actually happy to sell Bale to the chavs, get turned down by Mata. If (and I believe it true) Madrid have offered 86 million, what the hell are we waiting for? 87 million?
LOL Not with their advanced talks or inside info, they are virtually always right. Its only the "gossip section" which is BS as thats links from other websites.
"If (and I believe it true) Madrid have offered 86 million, what the hell are we waiting for? 87 million?" Allegedly offered in 4 payment instalments. 3 payment instalments OTOH will fund the incoming Bale replacements quite nicely.
Yeah fair one, but by the time the BBC have reported that "advanced talks" stuff, it's usually common knowledge anyway! so it's not "news" They're either slow, or talking crap.
I don't think we're looking at Chelsea to buy bale. The article hints at utd coming in for bale and us going to Chelsea for mata
That is how I read it too. We are looking to sell Bale to United / Madrid then have enquired to Chelsea about Mata.
