I have spent many a time reading over this forum and the previous forum on BBC 606 when NATCH was around and cant think of any reason why it should be changed.

Its been here since the move over and tbh on my poor screen resolution I can only seen the bonce of Ernie's head so never even realised he was truly there!

I find it strange it has taken this long for someone to pipe up about it, but i suppose if you don't look you will not find.

As a few have previously said its used for a non-profit purpose, doesn't cause harm and cant fully be seen and IMO no harm done, so keep it :emoticon-0148-yes:

If a picture of a robin with a football under his foot upsets you need to have a good look at yourself in the mirror.

    An identity existing elsewhere since?

If when the moon shines was still open it would be easy to note that website in attitude is a polar opposite to this forum. It would also highlight why people would raise eyes at its use here given the fundamental difference.

Sorry I don't see that at all It's the same as the Cross of St George or the Union Flag Or the Stars and Stripes in America just because one of the organisations that decides to use one of the afore mentioned could be someone you disagree with why should you stop using it?
However apart from that it must be my laptop but I never see the robin and I only see half of the crest so if it upsets you just make the area that is used for the printed word bigger and you won't see the bit you don't like.

I am neither upset or offended. I made an observation based on previously being able to view another site.

It's disingenuous to suggest it just an image if you have visited that website. The image is joined at the hip to that section of support and it's style of supporting. That style of supporting and its proactive nature is absent on this forum.

It's not offensive, but its "roosting" up there is ironic. It is going totally overheads that those behind it were trying to distance themselves from forums like this. Not 606 would be improved by an element of the same proactivity to balance out its critical content.

Sub cider - Forza EE - Wtms could be scathing about BCFC' s off field performance, but in turn offered remedies and put words into real actions.

Edit.....Sorry, no content edited, pressed wrong key..

Similar can be said of OTIB. Forums can have aims and projects.

I must admit I have become quite critical of late, not as much as some, a lot of what you boys have said with regards to positivity have hit some of my buttons, there is a lot of changes happening at the club and I should perhaps be a bit more patient, it's quite easy when the scales fall off of your eyes..

When the moon shines was bawdy and irreverent not PC. Several ex members have noted it is a bit inconsistent (?) It's emblem appearing here alongside threads that would not feature on that site.

Martyn Woolfords Barnet last season would have been as topical as Mcinnes was on here.

And still it goes on <doh>

If you don't agree with Ernie being on display here, just because there have been some negative post which I suspect there was some on these other forum's then I suggest you just click ignore on the people you don't want read. I don't like some of the post on here about certain things, I'm not going to go on about it I just choose to ignore it.

There has been explanations as why it was chosen, and the voting percentage shows what the majority feel. And yes you might have a point, lets just move on.

Did you ever read When the moon shines?

It was utterly. and I mean utter different to this forum. It is startlingly evident how little people on here understand how far removed it is from here in content. There is a naivety present here because I doubt the consensus that site had on certain topics would not be embraced on here.

It's like the Sex Pistols v one direction. Has anybody contacted them to see what their view is maybe?

I found these ' Ernie's ' on you tube, they are out there for the public to enjoy free and gratis, why is our one small illustration causing so much concern..?

I've messaged them asking if its ok. Its just a picture that our fans like. We don't have it to support where it came from. We have it because it represents The Robins, Bristol City. This has been totally blown out of proportion and the biggest negativity recently has come from the people bringing up the bloody thing!

dont really get what some people are actually trying to achieve here to be honest apart from trying to cause unrest amongst your own set of fans on this site. a point has been made by a very smaill minute minority and there has been many explainations in return which the minority have just ignored with their selective reading and just want to repeat themselves. like wiz said - its repetitive. the majority have spoken in the poll. its getting stupid now.

comparing this site and another site as sex pistols vs one direction is comical. i guess you are classing this site as one direction. you do realise that one direction (not a group i like by the way <whistle>) is one of the biggest groups out there right now! so i see you calling this site 'one direction' as a compliment :) so thank you. ;)

Ive just had an email back from the original owners

    Brett

Agree with the minority it is a strange choice.

Quick look reveals no topics about cider, clothes, Eastend, pubs, song. Football culture!

You do as you see fit.

" Agree with the minority it's a strange choice"

Why I had a dig. It is strange.

"No topics about Cider, clothes, Eastend etc"

Exactly what has been pointed out. That was hardly a big thumbs up there.
