They are - they just need to have a selection policy over who is and isn't allowed on them.

Of course - and ladies either discussing the Nigella recipe they'll use tonight or which child has had a nervous breakdown after the revelation that daddy's been shagging the Ukrainian Au pair

We have double deckers down here <ok>

You get some crazy people but they're so busy you're generally not forced to sit next to weirdos. Night buses are a different matter altogether. It's safer to walk through london than to get on a bus after midnight.

    Fat people have feelings too.

Pud is a valued member of this forum, he is three of our own, and I for one, am upset about the fatty abuse.

Pud, lovely guy, despite his disadvantaged origins in Viewpark he managed to make it a whole 5 miles away to Glasgow, where he lives happily with his sponge on a stick operative whom he rather coquettishly calls his wife.

A modern day hero, I think you'll agree.

I'm thinking of changing my will so that he gets the lot - i think we should all do that as it's really the decent thing to do for such a great man <applause>

    I agree.

Ye have to hand it to the big fat bastard, he never tries to use his obesity to curry favour, sympathy, nor empathy. He is the fat bastard of our times. I already regret using the word 'curry'.

Indeed. Pud is loved that much. If we all get together we can cure fat **** heart failure to save him. Too late for John Candy, but not too late for Pud (give me more pudding).

The buses in Edinburgh are great.

It's no coincidence that 93% of car drivers are fat bastards.

For me, a return ticket on the train is only £1 more than two bus tickets. Train takes 30 minutes and there is always plenty of seats. Bus takes over an hour and you get the dregs of society going to Fernhill <doh>
