I said at the start of the thread "In my opinion, the squad is stronger, but we are on a terrible run. We need something against West Brom - that is far more important than the game in Romania on Thursday." Don't see that as "doom mongering" - the squad is, in my opinion stronger. Secondly, we are on a terrible run in the PL. What's distasteful and disrespectful?
Personally taff, I draw a line under each season. We have a different squad (which you quite rightly say is stronger) and are also pursuing a European trophy. We have had a couple of great results in Europe, while in the PL we have played Man U who we took on (and paid the price) and gave a good account of ourselves at Spurs. We may not win at WBA next week, but I am more than happy with our current performance levels (apart from our crap defending against Man U
No! definitely not, matter of fact it's a very poor return. No! I thought Mancity would have got a cricket score! Next question please!................... By the way we are on a bad run, and have said as much previously on here, though no one is listening!.............. please log in to view this image
Look don't take it the wrong way, that's just how I view it, im not saying what your saying aint valid, of course it is,it may also be extremely relevant ! but I don't really think now is the right time to come out with the doom monger thread of 9 points out of 42 etc. You may well be spot on with these comments, you may well be onto something but the last thing we need imo as fans of the swans is people getting a bit hysterical because we lost the first two games! now it may not come across that way to you or any of the other posters but it comes across that way to me.i mean nothing disrespectful and im sorry if I come across that way . I see your points and they are well made, but to say we are on a bad run is not accurate. We won 5 -1 the other night We lost 1-4 the week before we drew 0-0 the week before we won 4-0 the week before that You can argue that this season we have played 5 competitive games won 2 drawn 1 and lost 2 you can also argue that our season started last week not in feb 9 th We all know why the team didn't do too well ,there were mitigating factors, like the first trophy in 100yrs and garenteed euro football the following season. So being as we have played Spurs away and the champions at home id say there is a lot more positives to focus on other than what happened after we won the cup last febuary
I respect your views mate, they are indeed probably a bit too close to the truth as well ! The irony is that I get blamed on here for having negative comments about the team then when I try to be positive all hell breaks loose ! ...
Trouble is you're negative when you should be positive and you're positive when you should be negative!
Gents, were all entitled to our opinions, be it right or wrong. Lets not descend this into a slanging match.
great answer and my point exactly, we have been very poor in the premiership for a hell of a long time now and this makes it 8 losses on the trot...
No it bloody doesn't!!!!!!!!! I told you on another thread we beat Wigan. We have lost four on the trot - twice to Man U (Champions), Spurs (possible Champions League) and 3-0 to Fulham (Who we slaughtered)
