Can't see it, would be very surprised if Holloway got sacked, may happen later in the year, after Pardew got sacked then Palace were struggling horrendously and needed a change.

You know how it is, somebody writes it and they'll print it.

I don't think even Palace would appoint Pardew.

He's a hero there, who is thought of very well after his part in them getting to the FA Cup Final in 1990.

Matters little. Pardew goes and kinnear takes over. Either way we go down cos our owner refuses to spend some f***ing money.

Can't see any legs on this one, but if Pardew was offered a get out option by Palace, l for one think he might just take it, and who could blame him for wanting out and away from the torment of Ashley and JFK.
I know there are a lot of people wishing he would go right now, and think we might get someone better in to replace him, possibly Poyet. Chances are we would end up with Joke in charge, so l for one think we should be careful what we wish for.
Can it get worse than , too bloody right it could.!

Two words - Dennis Wise. It would just be like Ashley to do that. I'm convinced that this is payback for the reaction to him during our relegation season. He's well known for holding a grudge. Would be just like him to do something like that.

I am still surprised and confused by some of the actions Ashley takes, JFK's appointment being just the last in a long list. Other posters on the forum have stated that Ashley is money orientated and o ly cares about safeguarding his investment.
Well that maybe the case, but it cannot hold true 100%, as some of his decisions have not been in the long term interests of NUFC.
So then we have the payback theory, which l have to admit is starting to hold more credence for me. Is he really holding onto a grudge, from the days of "cockney bar steward" out of our club?
If so and he is exacting his revenge, he is making a good job of it, isn't he. Not so much as too seriously damage beyond repair, but definitely enough to hit us where it hurts.
He seems impervious to criticism and because he is so insular, does not seem to be effected by the embarrassment factor in quite the same way we as fans are.

I hate to take that view but it is the only explanation for his baffling decisions. If he wanted success he would spend money, appoint someone decent to manage and wouldn't touch Kinnear with a ten foot barge pole. He's flexing his muscles and saying 'this is my club, not yours'. He's using Newcastle United as a marketing tool for Sports Direct (check out the French Sports Direct advertising yesterday as an example). Our policy of French only would make sense when you consider this. Increase exposure in France by signing cheap French players thereby ensuring we appear in the media over there regularly. Add the advertising and it is free exposure for his brand and would allow him to generate sales for Sports Direct in France.

This is my club, not yours, sums it up in a nutshell, and until he is no longer our owner nothing will change and it breaks my heart, it really does.

Pity there wasn't a Mega rich Geordie who was interested in taking the club over.

I remember a few years ago we had a really good guy that was a director who actually bled B&W, I think his name was Brennan but not 100% sure.

Could do with somebody like him now.

I remain forever hopeful that Richard Branson fancies a shot. However, I would imagine it'd be £500m to Branson, but Mike'd happily sell to Thaksin Shinawatra or Ken Bates for a tenner. I think it is a grudge against the fans now, too crazy not to be. I think that's why the (relatively) popular Mort disappeared, I think his morals ran higher than that.

but then goes and gives old foe Dave Whelan a right bargain in Perch,
Does that suggest he hates us more than him?

Can't see it, if it was going to happen it would have happened before the club didn't renew the contract with Virgin Money.
