Seems a very, very odd perception that you think Gaston was 'awful' yesterday when from where I was sitting he looked our most creative threat, and only lost the ball once. He perhaps wasn't Messi-esque exceptional but he did absolutely nothing wrong. Clyne looked fine when he came on, but also very reluctant to try and beat his man when playing on the left - not sure he quite trusts his left foot to deliver an effective cross.
I just want to apologise to anyone I offended last night with my comments. I was angry at being ganged up on by 2 members but I went too far.
AHHHH!!! Double Negative Lallana was anonymous in the 1st half and he was lucky to emerge after half time. My mate is not a fan of his at this level and I defend him because usually he always gets involved and tries to make things happen. He was back to more himself in the 2nd half but the damage was already done
Ramirez was probably the best player on the pitch for the last 20. Not really sure why people dont appreciate the quality pass to lambert, the freekick he won, the freekick he should have won and the way he opened up space for others. He didnt have options but he created more trouble for sunderland than anyone else from open play in 20 minutes. People saying he was only ok and awful have too high expectations. He wasnt brilliant and he didnt win us the game but he definitely played well
Dani will have to be careful in the future...remember the new ruling about retrospective action. What about Fonte's arm smashing into the Sunderland player's nose? Or do you think they will save such action for obviously nasty tackles?
Yes I think so, only the ones of clear violent conduct/where someone is injured. Fonte accidentally jumped into him, and I'm sure O'Shea has been around long enough to get over it.
Fonte said after MOTD that it wasn`t intentional and he tried to apologise but O`Shea wasn`t ready for it ( they showed it just after the final whistle),Mind you If i got a good clonk on the conk I dont think Id be ready for an apology so after.
I think fans have judgents based on value. I honestly believe Ramirez lovers would not rate him half as much as if we paid 3 mil for him. I am also still trying to figure out what makes VW better than cork? Cork is so much more industrious and again feel VM is over estimated due to his price. Think he is lazy too and seems like he doesn't care about the club
21500 would be extremely embarrassing. As it turns out, 29500 is still bad, we should really be selling out.
People get embarrassed too easily...holiday period and a bank holiday to boot. Add in a team that brought a decent number of fans, but couldn't sell their full allocation. We will sell out most games this season.
There's been a lot of very odd comments on here the past couple of days. I understand differences of opinion, but some of these have left me questioning my sanity....
Woah there! Of course, Ramirez haters would not expect him to personally win every game he played if we paid 3 mill for him. And Victor sat in front of the defence which you might think is lazy, but actually allows the other midfielder to have a much better influence on the game. Something James WP was able to take much better advantage of than Morgan yesterday.
I have literally no idea. I was going to pick that apart but it must be a wind up. No one can genuinely think Wanyama is lazy. Surely...?
