A point at MK Dons ain't bad. Take it and move on. We have easier games to come and can move up the league then. SOD is right - changing a losing mentality isn't easy. We are a team/club used to losing after 3 bad seasons. When we take the lead most of us think it is only gonna be a matter of time before we let one in. That has become the way the players think too. It will take time and a run of good results to change this mentality. If we string together a few good results don't be surprised if we suddenly blossom and turn into world beaters. I just have a feeling we are on the cusp and could easily see a real upturn in the coming months as confidence improves. And that is from someone whose glass is always half full!!!
'Lets try and be patient and realise this ain't such an easy league after all' - Idiots said it would be easy. 'Ain't this what you blamed Del for as well??' Absolutely. Was I right ? FFS. Not even you can't grasp changing for the sake of change is good. Anyway that's one of the reasons why McClueless was sacked - some fans just take longer to realise it. SOD had pre-season to sort out who his best team is - that's what pre-season's for. Plus he had umpteen games last season to realise just how good the likes of Kilkenny and Fontaine are. Sorry, I'm fed up with lame excuses. And still BCFC can't sort out a ticketing system that works. Useless from top to bottom.
Looking at the highlights on TV looks like MKDs scored two reasonably good goals. They didn't come from glaring defensive cock ups as in previous games. Ok so perhaps players could have been closed down more quickly but that will get better. We also scored two good goals and had plenty of possession. I'm prepared to give SOD and the team time. There will be a lot worse teams than Bradford, Wolves and MKDs in this league so chins up boys. COYR. Draw our away games and win most of our home games and who knows. Oh b******s must have picked up the other half's rose tinted specs?
<Idiots said it would be easy.> I don't recall anybody saying it would be easy <Absolutely. Was I right ? FFS> It must give you some small comfort to know how brilliant a tactician and critic you are. <Sorry> Your apology is accepted. Come on you Reds.
RedPrintt you said at the start of the summer that this league will be piss easy, why have you changed your tune?
Someone said if we can't beat shrewsbury at home they'd be worried.. I completely agree.. We've drawn to a team bang on form with a world class lower league striker in nakhi wells We've lost to the best team in the league We've drawn to the best passing team in the league The only exception is Coventry where we should of got something Teams like shrewsbury, Colchester, Stevenage at home should be the games we HAVE to win.. If not there's huge huge problems
Coventry was a team that I thought would be up there in the mix, it's only their 10 point deduction that has swayed me. A team that rely's on its youth and took a season to gel. Sounds familiar?
Coventry would just be outside the play offs now. No disrespect to Shrewsburys, Colchesters and Stevenages but they are the easy games in this league and should be 6 points from each. Apart from Peterbrough and Brentford we've played all the hard teams and got them out the way. Next month shall ne interesting
the shrews sit in 11th place 2 points off the playoffs, whereas city have 2 points in 19th place, 1 point off relegation. I suspect city have big problems but hopefully will bottom out in league 2, next season.
No better name for whinger Redprintt......Victor Redprintt Meldrew.....four games gone and he/she is at it already!!!
I hope you don't go down. Wouldn't want us doing the double then rovers doing the double over you the season after.
I hope neither of us go down. what about Coventry 4 preston 4 today in front of 2000 punters. good old Northampton.
we had this from AJ daily on our board when the shrews were in league 2. he dont like his club being called tinpots, welsh and strawberry town. there is a tip for you reds
