Team's have to pay you for the length of your contract, so it is wrong that a player can act as if a contract doesn't work both ways. I know it goes on, but I really hope he doesn't get the move he wants.
Piatti does seem a plausible link - someone who can see those intelligent runs of Osvaldo and pick him out. Gaston is one of the few that can actually do that IMO. Piatti would also only cost around â¬3-4m
Piatti could definately be worth a punt for £2-3m. Another player (Like Lovren) that has the quality but has lost his confidence last two yrs after the move to Valencia. Ljajic too expensive I would think and reports are saying that he wants to stay in Italy.
He's also called Pablo Daniel and is Argentinian...he will have to be a Pablo whether he wants it or not!
Piatti would be a nice acquisition if he's going for that little. He's quick, and he's creative...we have players in the lineup now who can finish, need another player or two who can open up a bit of space for them.
Finishing was the issue yesterday, but we still don't move the defense around enough. Get players shifting such that those chances aren't all snatched-at headers or quick stabs at the ball in traffic, and I suspect that our finishing will improve.
